Sell the Mav and go buy a Taco. I hear Toyota isn't having any issues right now.Anything would be better than ford right now
It may just get sold the body repairs are getting old something a new truck shouldn’t have problems withSell the Mav and go buy a Taco. I hear Toyota isn't having any issues right now.
Agree 100%, updates are a part of all our technology. For me, I've had all the recall fixes & 2 oil changes done at work, really convenient.3 years in and I still love my Maverick. As for the recalls, why do people make such a big deal about them? For the most part, they are MINOR and fixable via simple software updates.
What's the difference between Maverick recalls fixed via software patches the endless Windows 10 software patches? Or the constant patches for smartphones? That's today's technology. Now obviously issues in a motor vehicle that leaves one stranded can be far more serious issues. But software updates to fix intermittent minor issues IMO no big deal at all.
I had 4 of the Maverick recalls performed in my Driveway, no inconvenience at all.
It's funny that you think other brands don't have the same issues. You must not be on any other forums. It may just get sold the body repairs are getting old something a new truck shouldn’t have problems with
You're stretching the truth (those weren't released today) so that people feel your immense pain. You've reached the point that you can't be satisified with it. You should just sell it. Seriously. Honda/Toyota are a overall better customer experience.Nice job, Ford. ANOTHER 5 recalls to throw on the pile of another dozen. It is no wonder that I and probably most others will not even bother having these addressed anytime soon, until some time in the future when the influx slows down. Why bother? Mr. Farley: so much for your quality control czar that you hired. Getting worse, not better. Shame shame shame. I was such a fan with the many Fords I have owned. You must now EARN any future business from me. The customer is NOT the beta test.
Am I the only one out here that feels completely failed by Ford?
Apparently, you haven't search recalls for Honda or Toyota recently.Honda/Toyota are a overall better customer experience.
No... Have just owned plenty of them... Couldn't kill my Hondas... neglect only encouraged them. DId have a Sienna with the problematic steering rack...but of course it also received alot of abuse in Mexico (sometimes you have to ford creeks in our municipality)Apparently, you haven't search recalls for Honda or Toyota recently.
Ahh the old I owned A Honda or Toyota in their heyday, so I assume they're still the same.No... Have just owned plenty of them... Couldn't kill my Hondas... neglect only encouraged them. Well I sold my Honda in Feb 2024, after I received my Maverick in Jan 2024. But yes, it was a 2009. Sold my Toyotas recently too, and yes they were both 2007 models. So admittedly don't have experience with models produced in the last 15 years. Guess I'll just keep my mouth shut about the 15 and 16 years of no recall ownership.Ahh the old I owned A Honda or Toyota in their heyday, so I assume they're still the same.
I agree. I have always owned at least one Toyota, starting in 1980, with Toyota pickup (basic unit with 20R engine. Various others including 4 Camrys, a Venza, 2002 Tundra (4.7L), 2008 Tundra, 2014 4Runner. The only recall was the airbags on the Venza and 4Runner (Takata) As of January 2024, over 100 million airbag inflators worldwide have been recalled by more than 20 carmakers. A mouse once chewed wiring harness near intake manifold on 2008 Tundra. About a hundred bucks to fix. That is all I've had happen on all my vehicles, so ya, I'm a Toyota fan boy. I think Ford could lessen the recall issues by doing this. (won't be cheap for them). For every recall on a vehicle, Ford would be required to reimburse each individual of the affected vehicle a sum of $100 dollars for their inconvenience. Payable when you drop off the vehicle for the recall. My guess is one of two things would happen. There could be some openings for new engineers at Ford, or, they will get their act together quickly. Money talks and BS walks. In my lifetime seems money (the bottom line) always wins out.Well I sold my Honda in Feb 2024, after I received my Maverick in Jan 2024. But yes, it was a 2009. In a computer driven new manufacturing arena you are going to see programming recalls a lot more of them. None of them have been functionally bad and cannot be ridden through. I love my 23 lariat hybrid. It’s one of the best cars I’ve ever had at the lowest price. Just remember you get what you pay for.3 years in and I still love my Maverick.
