My dad was superintendent of schools there in Russell until they consolidated. I still get back there every now and again and see a few people I still know. I’m gonna be there for a few days at the end of August for vacation. Good to meet you.

I'm here to to Announce the 4th Annual Midwest Maverick Meetup is a go!

We are planning for July 25th and 26th!
On the 25th we will go on a scenic drive to a local Kansas destination as a group. More details to come as we get closer.
On the 26th we will have our Show and Shine on the Long McArthur Lot for their Cars and Coffee event. Along with Long McArthur Live's Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy and @Sarah Davis

There will be plenty of Automotive related activates in Salina that weekend as well. The Garage Museum will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And Kustom Kemps of America: Led Sled Spectacular car will also be in full swing Thursday-Sunday.


We are going to update here with more details as we get them figured out. I will post a poll so you can let us know if you can come so we can get a good numbers estimate.

We hope to see lot s of people and their mavericks there!

All kidding aside, I attended last year's meetup and had a great time with the Maverick owners. It was like hanging out with my favorite friends.

Tim and Sarah are fantastic hosts.

If I still own my Maverick, I plan to drive 1500 miles each way. If I sell mine, I could always borrow my son's or daughter's Hybrid Maverick and go. I haven't decided whether to take the northern (through Denver) or southern (through Albuquerque) route. I will be coming from Irvine, California.

I have gone one way from Salina, Kansas, twice and once round trip. My son and I drove the southern route in the 23 Maverick XLT Hybrid he bought from Long McArthur Ford in November 23. I drove the northern route in the 24 Maverick XL Hybrid we originally bought for my wife (now owned by my daughter) in April 2024.

For last year's meetup, I took the southern route to Salina, Kansas, and the northern route home.

Both routes have their ups and downsides.

@Sarah Davis will have the exact count. I think there were nine of us for the Friday drive and adventures. And I believe there were fourteen Mavericks at the meetup on Saturday.

I hope there are three times more folks that make it this year.

@Sarah Davis, are you going to have new artwork this year? If so, can you get it to the online store vendor so we can order the 2025 meetup merchandise in advance? I love my 2024 hoodie and would order another one. I would also like to request a polo with the 2025 meetup logo (assuming I go).

we had 6 Mavericks for the drive and 9 vehicles total. As for th show Im pretty sure we had about 12-14 Mavericks
