Hey Guys, just wanted to share and get your opinion on the side vents I designed/copy from the original ones.
Printed in ABS, coated with a Rustoleum transparent coat, and glued with 3m double side tape, already withstanded a 2000 mile without falling appart.
In my mind they helped on the MPG, but not solid test so far.

What printer (Bambu?) and resolution did you print at?

I am thinking with 0.05mm, a little sanding, and high fill automotive primer, it would give the smoother finish others are talking about.
Justa a cheap ender 3v 2 with mods. 0.6 noozle and 0.2 layers.

Next version will be a sanded and painted. I was just focusing on the model more than on the finishing

Hi Crab, can you share the STL, I'd be interested in printing some of these to get rid of the "XL" on mine. Thank you!

I guess my reply got deleted but it's there any chance you're selling or making the stl public? Is like to print these out for my new xlt. Would gladly pay ya.

If you import the STL in some 3d software (even something simple and free like Sketchup) it isn't very difficult to remove the logo

About the surface finish, I'd enable ironing the top layers. Using that setting even my old Ender 3 can print top layers that look like a perfect injection molding

thanks for the good appreciations.
Indeed the rough look was by choice. I printed it with fuzzy skin to minimize the post process, my intention was to match the texture on the mirrors.
Priming, sanding and painting would take some tools and space I don't currently have.
Would be curious what this would look like with a PETG-CF or matte ASA smooth finish, could probably still get away with minimal / zero post processing.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but any plans on releasing a version without the logo? I'd happily buy a copy of the STL if so!
Hey i just removed the logo and added to the cults model.
In case you still want it

I think you are rigth, but seeing the noozle temperature IDK if my ender will print it.
