I'm really enjoying the 2025 Hybrid AWD Lariat I purchased from Long McArthur last October. My only complaint so far is a rattle in the driver's door that occurs when driving over rougher road surfaces. The noise appears regardless of whether the music is playing, and applying pressure to various spots on the door panel doesn't seem to stop it.

I've watched several videos on removing the door panel for speaker upgrades and sound insulation, and I feel confident in my ability to do this. However, I’m concerned about accidentally breaking a panel clip and potentially creating a more significant issue. Is this a legitimate concern? Should I just let the dealer address the rattle during my first oil change or try to fix it myself?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Both of my front doors have the occasional rattle. It stops if I apply pressure on the arm rest. I've also been contemplating pulling off the door panel to check and have the same concerns as you. I've been putting it off until I decide to buy some aftermarket front door speakers.

Have it checked out by the dealer. Years ago, my father's ford wagon had a similar situation. The dealer found a set of keys in the bottom of the door. Some how got in there during the build. lol

I had a 2005 Lincoln LS that had a door rattle that the Service Manager tried to attribute to the wide angle spot I'd put on my mirror. I was, uhh, not nice to him after that. A tech ended up disassembling the door to find what was rattling (I don't remember what), but it cost Ford a few hours of warranty shop time.

Is this a legitimate concern?
Yes, but the likelihood is fairly low I'd guess. If you had a 2005 that was sitting outside in the Vegas sun for the last 20 years then you stand a higher chance of breaking stuff. I remember when I changed the headlight bulbs on my '01 F-150, the plastic retaining rings basically crumbled into nothing.

Should I just let the dealer address the rattle during my first oil change or try to fix it myself?
I suggest you just take it in. That's part of what the new vehicle limited warranty and/or the adjustments warranty are for. You can wait until the oil change but I don't see much a reason to unless the dealer is far away.

My Maverick must have been assembled right after the employees got a raise or enjoyed a company sponsored lunch, to date I’ve experienced no excessive wind noise, dash or door rattles on my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid…

Same here ... No wind noise, no rattles, no issues at all except the CRACK noise from the center armrest in cold weather

If you're worried about breaking a door clip, remember that you're not working on some super obscure old car where replacement parts are unobtanium ... anything you break can be bought at the dealership
