Am I the only one who is getting a Gear selector warning?
This puts my Maverick into a powertrain failure mode. No throttle, Electric drive only, if you slow down to the side of the road and m I've the Gear selector know if you are nearly stopped it slams on the parking break. Then displays all the warnings related to every feature that relates to anything powertrain related.
The only quick way out of this is to disconnect the negative battery cable for about 30 seconds and reattach it..
That seems to be the only way to get it out of limp mode. Fordpass records poeertrain issues etc. But not the initial issue reported, regarding the Gear selector not being in the right position or similar message. I have had this issue repeatedly since roughly 3000 miles.
I baby the shift know, not rapidly moving it. But apparently it may g Dave some slight defect causing it to report it is not in gear???
I've had it to the dealer twice, each time they were unable to locate something to point to. Evidently the system is not recording the error in a way that can be identified by the scanners.
Any ideas, or anyone else having had this issue and gotten resolution would be appreciated.
