Any leaks?
I keep my Maverick in my garage year-round so it's not a fair test.

However the truck was parked outside last week when we had 4" of rain (wish it was snow!) and I was curious to see how dry the bed was. It wasn't bone dry; I'd guess there were a couple teaspoonsful of water on the rubber mat I use to protect the bedliner.

I have not taken my truck through a car wash and don't plan to.

I've got large Rubbermaid storage bins with covers that I use when I transport stuff that must be kept completely dry.

I've had my TipTop tonneau for almost a year now. I'm a satisfied customer.

Got one on my living room floor just now getting a coat of protection on top and seals. Will go on the truck when the sun comes up ;)
The included bulkhead gasket seemed too thick for the Maverick so used a softer D bulb seal strip I had on hand. I also added a short bead of black silicone to the two notches in the bed top rail to cure overnight.

The vinyl is a smoother texture than previous bed covers and should be easier to keep clean. The cover uses a similar D bulb seal on three sides and a double wipe seal at the tailgate.

my only complaint is the two straps used to secure the top when open aren't secured in place to the front cross rail.
I had the same issue with the two straps on my Gator Tri-Fold from Real Trucks. I got tired of them both sliding to one side. I ended up putting zip ties on either side of both straps to keep them in place.

I've had one on my Mav since June, and am quite pleased with it. Instructions were good and installation was not difficult. I was extra-careful cutting and placing the seal across the front of the bed and have noticed no leaks (so far).

Tri fold vs roll up pros and cons?
Big pro in my eyes is that roll-up soft covers take up less room when rolled.
For example the one on my Toyota's 7' bed rolls up to about 4" in diameter whereas a soft tri-fold will either fold vertical and block your whole window or only fold twice and leave 1/3 of the bed covered.

Both roll-up and folders tend to flap in wind a little and neither is very theft resistant.

I would prefer a hard cover but if I was to get a soft cover for the Maverick it'll be a roll-up.

I have the Tyger roll up. I've had it fir 18 months. As said before the roll up doesn't take up head board room when rolled up. The reason I bought it. The bed is short enough without taking up space with a tri fold. I've had 2 feet of snow on it no problem.

What prevents the cover from caving in due to the weight of the snow?

There are bows, usually steel or fiberglass that support the top, my roll-up has fiberglass tubes that can hold a LOT more weight that I expected.
I had transported a garden shed on top of the tonneau and other than scratching the vinyl some it didn't do anything.
