I just did a chat on the Ford website and was told my loaded '23 Lariat, bumped from a '22, has an error.

The exact wording from ford chat:
"Your Maverick order is in order processing. The order contains a compatibility error and cannot be scheduled until the error is corrected. You need to contact your selling dealership to get this resolved."

Oddly enough, I checked on my son's Base XL Hybrid (with rubber floormats as the only add-on) and it also has the same 'compatibility error.'

Does anyone have any idea why? My Lariat is loaded (Eco, Black Edition, Lux, 360, 4K) so I could almost see why there might be something considering you can't do the Black with Tremor or FX4...I thought maybe Ford determined you couldn't do Black and 4K, or some other silly conflict.

I reached out to my dealer but haven't heard back. Is anyone else getting that error on their order?

At this point, I'd guess that the fact that you ordered a Maverick at all is a giant showstopper "compatibility error".

When I talked to my sales manager about the 22 roll over last week, he said that velocity blue was discontinued for 23. I told him to switch it to Atlas Blue when/if he needed to. Looks like I will be going to Ford CS/Marketing next.

I think it is all Mavericks. Leading theory is the 22 rollovers are still in progress and Ford wants to schedule those first as best as possible.

@commadorebob sounds like he's a September order because he has the Black Appearance Package on his order. @oskio can you clarify this?
Right. The MY23 is what is erroring out at the moment because Ford is wanting the rollovers from MY22 to schedule first but they aren't ready to schedule yet. That's the theory.

@commadorebob ahh...I see...that would make sense. Does that apply to the MY22s that were reordered as 23s by the customer, or the MY22s with VINs that are being forced to MY23s?

My 2023 order has the same compatibility issue and my dealer is better at hiding than my kids.

You are correct. Sort of...

I had a '22 order I converted to a '23 and when I did that I changed from XLT to Lariat, dropped the FX4 and added the Black Appearance package. My son did a new '23 order of a base XL with rubber floormats. They both have the same error though which is the confusing part. One being a rollover and one a new order...both with an error.

The dealer reported back they think it isn't really an error but a supply chain issue. The good news is both orders were previewed (which I think just means they were pulled for review) which means I'm closer to the top of the list than the bottom...hopefully.

If they are previewing your orders, I assume the priority code has already changed from the dealer assigned 10-19 to 2?

Great question. I just reached out to the dealer again and they confirmed I'm still sitting at priority 10 and 11. They said it goes to 2 once it is actually scheduled.

The 10 is for the rollover from last year and the 11 is for the new order this year.

As the saying goes... "clear as mud"... I just spoke with my salesman and he said my 23 Lariat Tremor was listed as compatibly check... which was different from what it was listed as Tuesday... they have 13-2023 Mavericks ordered for customes, mine being the highest priority, 10... they also show my 2022 FX4 just sitting there in cyber space... the games continue...

BUT... on a positive note... they did get in a 2022 Velocity Blue XLT AWD in yesterday and the customer who ordered it hasn't gotten back to the sales department... I'm on the to call list IF the ordering party doesn't show up... not the VB Lariat FX4 that I ordered, but I could drive it till my 23 Tremor arrives...
