Did my grandson’s Maverick cabin and air filter yesterday. At 30K neither looked too bad, but was still dirty. I think the manual says 20K on the cabin filter.

I'm an old guy. I remember thinking "Cabin filter? WTF is a cabin filter?" when I first bought a vehicle that had one! My old Chevy Impala in high school back in the 70's had just straight up dirty air blowin' in!

As for my Maverick, I trust the maintenance schedules and OEM parts. I drive a '23 with 19K in milage, so the cabin filter and oil will be changed in about a month at my 20K scheduled maintenance.

Am I a fool for trusting Ford's maintenance recommendations? (I'm asking seriously. Thanks!)

Very simple took 5 minutes start to finish. Open glove box, release 2 tabs on each side, release dampener on ps if equipped, remove glove box, push two tabs outwards on each side of filter door, remove filter door, remove and replace filter. Then reinstall in reverse order.
Somebody finally said it. It's behind the glove box. Thanks!
