You should not be getting one without the other. If you have a date/week, you have a VIN.

Extremely bad advice. Do not under any circumstances cancel your '22 order until you receive your private offer from Ford for your '23 order. It has been confirmed, the private offer will follow you, not the dealer, but to get it, your '22 order must be active in the system. If you are in this boat, I highly suggest you contact your sales rep AND THE GM to make sure they understand they are not to cancel the '22 order until Ford has completed the private offer to you.

If he doesnt have vin by the 4th hes not getting a 2022 maverick. Period. Thats the cut off date. If he has vin which hes needs to find out very soon then keep the 2022 order. If has no vin hes not getting a discount offer.

Theres no way your dealer gave you build date and no vin. It seems to me your order not even confirmed. When i mean confirmed its in the system and you can see it on the tracker. Not that the dealer has gotten order. Somewhere down the line the dealer didn't file the paperwork correctly the build date is always tied with vin to track back to. So i would first find out where is my vin, FORD cant track your order without it. If you don't have vin by the 4th youre not getting maverick 2022 and ford cant offer you a discount if they don't have a vin to go off. Again sounds like your dealer messed up on the paperwork i would call them monday. If its not in the system ford not giving you a private discount just because.

That is exactly backwards. If you have a VIN, you're getting a '22 (barring some unforseen catastrophe that shuts Hermosillo down). If you do not have a VIN once '22 scheduling ends (assuming you have a valid COVP confirmed order) you will get a private offer to offset the increased price of a '23 order. You will need to get with a dealer (not necessarily the original dealer) to create the new '23 order and tie it to the original '22 order with the private offer. The '22 order needs to remain in the system until this process is complete.

I am not sure if I should be happy or not quite yet. Got a text from dealer I have a build date of September 5, but they didn’t have any other additional information. They said I am officially on my way now. Will double-check tomorrow with my sales guy to see if VIN came in late yesterday. Can’t check with Ford Customer Service on Sundays. I wonder if Tim @fordvideoguy has received any build dates without a VIN or a delayed VIN at Long McArthur.

Called the Ford number at 800-334-4375 this morning. I have a VIN and a build date of September 5. Finally ! To quote the great philosopher Granger Smith, Yee !!! Yee !!!—October 30 order, Velocity Blue hybrid xl with only a drop-in bedliner. Hope to get it in New Jersey by mid-October.

alright your in good shape now. You can keep the order to 2022 or roll over to 2023. You can use ford tracker website just make sure everything is there as well and check on the progress
