Hey all, i just bought a 2025 maverick awd hybrid lariat with keypad installed. It's different than the previous years. The dealer I bought it from is 4hr away and delivered it to me. On delivery, i discovered they didn't deliver the keycard that has admin code. they took accountability and said they'd cover the cost to have it reprogrammed or replaced at my local dealer. Does anyone have experience with these new keypads to see how to find the code? My local dealer seemed clueless on how to retrieve it or reprogam. They seem to think they need to order a new one and start over. But then they realized they also couldnt order a new one because they couldnt find the new part in the ford catalog. Any help is appreciated. They left the install guide but no card. here is what the new keypad looks like...

and here is the guide they left...

If you pop the cover off your fuse box, there is a module in there for the keypad, it may have the code on it.

***UPDATE***
I provided the dealer with the flash code generated from the troubleshooting guide and they just gave me the master code. It works! big thanks to everyone. hope this guide helps others if they run into similar issue.

That is just like a key fob Remote. Any Ford dealer can help you with that if you other dealer couldn’t do right the first time go tto a different one.
@Cristiansilva3312 - this.

Instead of just an unlock/lock button - you have to enter your lock/unlock code to in essence press the button to send the command to the truck system.
Which needs to be programmed with that "fob" transponder code to recognize it.

Only difference is this is like the non-keyless entry style fob - it's not sending out it's info upon movement like your normal keyless entry fob does, it's waiting.

Otherwise you could use the normal extra key/fob programming process.
But in this case you do need to have the extra info, as to what is that transponder code number, on that card.

Did original dealer say they lost it totally, or just forgot to handoff?

ETA - saw the good news. But at least you understand how it works, and others reading thru the thread later.

the dealer I purchased from said the tech who installed it left it in the glovebox with the guide, but it was not there. I took delivery of the vehicle via a transport company since the dealer was 3.5hr away. the entire purchasing process was done remotely.

Related - My gun safe uses a securecode electronic lock. There is a master code and a user code. Long story short - Law enforcement had called the gun safe manufacturer and they provided the master code . Law enforcement opened the safe without the owner's permission. In my opinion, the wireless keypad just adds another vector where your car could be opened with someone who knows the master code or the procedure to get it.

In my case I had a locksmith reset the master code to the safe and I changed it. Now only I know the master and user codes for the safe. Changing the master code requires opening the safe and accessing the reset button on the back side of the lock.

Do we think the new keypad will fit inside the fuel door?

🤷‍♂️ Depending on your model, it may not be possible. My Lariat Hybrid has an electric door latch, therefore prohibiting this location.

I have an Ecoboost so maybe. I plan on picking my keypad up on Saturday so I’ll check then.

Has anyone figured out how to program the keypad themselves? I read the directions but it looks like you need some Ford program to do it.

my understanding is that it has to be done at the dealership.
