2025 - Morimoto X3B LED third brake light

I really like the look of the morimoto led brake light, and found a deal on ebay for $128, and finally got around to installing it today.

I did it a bit unorthodox though as I didnt want to go fishing through the headliner so I just cut off the wires of both the stock wiring and the end of the morimoto led harness and soldered them together, added waterproof heatshrink and wrapped it in cloth harness tape, bingo bango ... bobs your brothers sister. The leer tonneau cover made a nice project desk!

I fished mine through took about 20 mins total I interior clip tools

Very nice and clear photo's. And a well done job. I like the look of it as well. My Mav is also "desert sand". Does the middle clear LED stay on all the time or is it just for back up and the red on the sides for brake? Also could you put a link in for the exact Brand model that this is? Thank you sir.

Mine is space white, but desert sand is an awesome color too!

The white led (cargo light) comes on when you unlock the truck, and goes off once you put it in drive. There is also a button to manually turn it on or off to the left of the light switch rotary dial.

I was going to seal the camera hole with a plastic plug or something from Home Depot, but then later found the non-camera version (out of stock now, but was $127.50 when I bought the last one) from the same seller and swapped it, so if you have some diy prowess, don't mind the look of a gap between the white cargo light, then $80 is a killer deal.

Kind of, I used the plug off the adapter harness that came with the led light and sacrificed it. The connector for the factory light is under the headliner and I didn't feel like digging around for it, so I just cut it off close to the factory light and soldered a connector from the morimoto harness directly to the factory wires.
