SWITCHING BLIND SPOT
INFORMATION SYSTEM ON
AND OFF
1. From the settings menu, press Driver
Assistance.

2. Switch Blind Spot Information System
on or off.

When you switch blind spot information
system off, a warning lamp illuminates.
When you switch the system on or off, the
alert indicators flash twice. A telltale
remains illuminated in the instrument
cluster when the blind spot information
system is switched off in the settings
menu.
Note: The system remembers the last
setting when you start your vehicle.

--------

EDIT: First off, I did find the option to Re-enable BLIS.
2nd, it did NOT match this manual. I also checked my in-vehicle manual, and it had the same wording.

For anyone in 2025s that need to know.

On the Sync display panel (NOT the dash)
1. Go Home (if not already there)
2. On the right side of the screen tap Features (NOT Settings...)
3. Tap Driver Assistance
4. Toggle BLIS ON/OFF (as preferred)

Dash light is cleared, and the BLIS system initialized immediately.
You'll notice the BLIS activate when the mirror BLIS indicators light up together. (I think it does this same thing upon vehicle ignition ON sequence.)

I recently rented a trailer and could not tell if the Mav disabled the next lane sensor. I don't know if it knew that I was pulling a trailer from driving in tow mode or the trailer light plug, but as others have said, that's all it is.

Anything plugged into the trailer light plug even the illuminated hitch lights will disable the Blis system.
