It's a 100 HP three phase permanent magnet electric motor, it's not going to ever wear out starting your engine ;)

Question: how long is the start motor going to last drove 10 miles this morning with a/c blasting engine was on/off constantly is it using a conventional starter? Mileage really suffers with AC on 23mpg with AC 38/40 no AC
That "start" Generator Motor is constantly spinning, and it has way more than enough torque to start the engine.

When ICE is not running but you are moving, that GM is spinning the same RPM as the Traction Motor so the engine doesn't spin. Opposite direction though.

When the ICE is running while not moving the GM is spinning abouts 3x the RPM as the ICE so no strong creep. And generating power to HVB charging.

When the ICE is running and you are moving the GM is constantly spinning at different RPMs to provide the eCVT gearing needed for speed and power requested. Even reverses direction during that range.

When moving in EV and the ICE needs to be started, the GM merely changes the RPM a bit so power from the TM goes to start the engine.

Constantly spinning.
Mileage usually doesn't suffer as much with AC as it does with heat needed.

I've actually had mine go down then go back up again. I filled it up, a while later it dropped 1/8th down, then it went back up to full and stayed there way too long, then jumped down to the 3/4 mark.

Also around the time the sun starts going down, you can see where all the 1/8th marks on the gauge are and the actual pointer/indicator thing that moves around is slightly grey instead of white like everything else
