I was pricing some 2025's earlier today in my area, and I found a weird discrepancy on the window stickers.
Both Mavericks are 2025s, with hybrid motor. Same color, same interior, same features (AWD, 4k Tow, Co-Pilot360).
Exactly the same truck except for one thing:
One was priced $155 more than the other (MSRP), and I couldn't figure out what the difference was.
Then, I noticed one was listed with an "Auto CV Transmission" and one was listed with a "Continuously Variable Trans"

Neither one was a special order, so that didn't cause the price difference.
In all the research I've done, and everything I've seen written about the new Mavericks on the MTC, I thought there was just an eCVT for the hybrid and an 8-speed for the EcoBoost. Is there something else going on with the transmissions on the new hybrids or ???

Wouldn’t a Auto CV Transmission be a “Continuously Variable Transmission “ maybe data entry preference by the person printing these at two different locations or times?

What are the dates on the window stickers? There was a price increase last month.

All Maverick hybrids have eCVT Continuously Variable Transmissions.

The Hybrids all have an eCVT transmission, and nothing whatsoever similar to the belt & pulley CVTs that have been unreliable in many other modern vehicles. The eCVT has no belts or pulleys.

The Hybrid eCVT is somewhat based on the Toyota Prius design. And if the Prius is any indication, the Hybrid transmissions should also be very reliable, with a long lifetime.

Same reason you see that new restaurant menu in new year and hope your favorite item is still there - it is, but it seems to be described differently. So now concerned about what changes were made to it.
You are told it is exactly the same.
You order - and indeed it is.

Someone decided a different description was more useful - that's all.

In either of your cases - they are attempting to keep close to official description, but if smart they'd actually avoid the CVT part of description anyway since it carries a bad load.
