There was a good deal for a CCM on eBay($144) so decided to pick up all the parts. Just waiting for things to arrive over the next week or so.

I'm going to try modifying the 'no cut' 3d printed bracket by just widening it and seeing if it will "clamp" onto the vertical support instead of drilling through it. I think with just the plastic grill blocking any vertical motion it will be enough to hold it in place. I will probably put a couple of pieces of foam where it contacts the support to add some friction and overall contact.

I'm going to mock up a prototype in PLA or PETG before I finalize the print in ASA.

If you're stingy like me, and willing to omit the steering wheel switches and the plastic cover over the radar, I got it down to $126.47 + $12.56 + $60.69 + $21.59 + $5 = $226.31.
If you manage to come up with a 3D printed bracket design, I think you could probably get it down to the $170 range, with some eBay hunting for the radar sensor.

So if you omitted the steering wheel switches how to you set the distance and such for the adaptive cruise or it does it just default to a predetermined distance and use that?

You can set the distance in FORScan (EZ Mode), it will stay at the distance you set. Personally, I set it at 3 (which is the default anyway) and I never feel the need to change it.

it defaults to the second closest distance in my case.

well that great info to have and makes this a little easier intall as well.
One other question, is there addtional hardware needed above what the XLT trim has for the lane centering option to function or can it been enabled with this upgrade of just the front radar?

The steering wheel switch is super easy to swap if you want. FWIW drivers in my area are terrible, they will cut you off if you give them an inch of room. Makes the ACC very annoying as the truck freaks out when they cut in, slamming the brakes before accelerating again to match the new cars speed.

I often keep it on the minimum distance, but not always. It’s nice to have the freedom to change it on the fly.

@rusty_shackleford probably a stupid question, but I'm pretty stupid - I've got my 4 pins from the factory and know where to put 'em - do I just push them into the empty slots? Is there some kind of locking mechanism?

Just trying to make sure I don't screw up a simple job lol.

Also I read somewhere you cant just disconnect the negative battery lead on these trucks, you need to wait like 2-3 mins until all the lights and everything are off so as not to screw up the electrical?

I am no expert, I didn’t bother with disconnecting the battery during this mod, except for the steering wheel part.(air bags) The manual says not to pull the cable off the battery post, but to remove the other end of the battery ground from the chassis instead. Something to do with the battery monitor module.

With the truck off, should be fine to pull the plug, but if you want to cut power first, you can.

Take a look at the business end of the plug it will help you orient the pins correctly. They will snap in when you push all the way.

The IPMA connector might be like a Gen Y:

Guess I got lucky that they popped in, I didn’t know to pull that piece back. Thanks.

Update on the 3d printed bracket:

The MY25 Maverick grill is totally different from the prior years. I was thinking the bracket would fit on the lower grill, but the way the air intake wing things are attached, there is no room behind the plastic vertical support to place the backing plate that holds the screws.

I've decided on one of two approaches:
  • Epoxy the 'backing plate' to the vertical support using JB Weld 'PlasticWeld'. This is because the mounting bracket still fits between the lower grill. I believe the ~3900PSI tensile strength will be more than enough to hold the bracket, radar and cover. I will have to see if there is still room to drill the support and maybe hold everything together with locking nylon nuts. I don't want to interfere with the "wings" so I may have to settle with the threaded inserts and the correct length screws to hold it
  • Redesign the bracket for the CCM. The backing plate fits behind the upper support just fine, though it's no longer vertical or particularly sturdy like the old upper/new lower. There just isn't the same amount of open space/flexibility of placement in the new upper grill.
I'll probably go with option 1, but we'll see.

Damn. I've got it wired up in back and changed all lines leading up to CCM from the screenshot on page 1 but CCM isn't showing up.

Are those the only lines I have to change, or just the only ones that are different from the original 2022 post back in the day and there are more?
