I ordered my Maverick back in 2022. It did not make the production line. Rolled over to 2023, again did not make the production run. Rolled over to 2024, and this time Ford did build it and I have about 2000 miles on it so far.
Hybrid
Co-Pilot
Factory Hood and Fender film
Factory Spray In Bed Liner
Factory Bed Mat
I am getting between 42 and 44 MPG
Loving it so far
This weekend I did several DIY Mods
3d printed Bed Cargo Divider
Ford Maverick Rear Cargo Divider by MTDATA - Thingiverse
I added the DIY Bed Rails
I originally planned to use the 12g truss supports and run then 36". I found that this length interfered with the Cargo Load divider
I used the lower profile 14g Truss Supports. I liked the lower profile. The caps, Cone Nuts and struts were $45
I purchased the 8mm bolts from Amazon
VGBUY M8-1.25 x 25 mm 35Pcs Flat Head Hex Socket Cap Screws Bolts,304 Stainless Steel 18-8,Full Thread,Hex Spanner Included (VG30124): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
I purchased the 3/8" Eye Bolts from Amazon
Qlvily 4 Packs 316 Stainless Steel 3/8" UNC Eye Bolt, Machinery Shoulder Eyebolts, Lifting Ring Threaded Eyebolt: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
I had the stainless steel washers in my shop, probably $10 at Lowes
I had a heck of a time getting the plastic plugs out of the 8mm bolt holes. I finally figured out that they are threaded in. I have attached a photo. I pried up an edge and then unscrewed them
I installed the tailgate assist that I purchased on Amazon. Install was very easy

I hated to lose the drivers side tie down. Luckily @Lane posted that he had made replacements for himself and had a few to sell. I installed his replacement and it fit perfectly. @Lane, you might have a good side hustle here
I 3d printed a Maverick logo insert for my factory Trailer hitch
Ford Maverick Logo Hitch Insert by MTDATA - Thingiverse
The last Mod was to install a Cubby in the driver side rear of the Bed. I purchased the cubby from [email protected]
I wanted to have 12v and USB outlets in the bed. I though about installing the outlets in the door of the Cubby, but I worried that the wires would get damaged if they were attached to the door after multiple uses
I decide to try to install the outlets inside the Cubby. I drilled 2 - 1 1/8" holes in the Cubby to match the holes in the Outlet plate
Amazon.com: 12V USB Outlet Marine Switch Panel Plug, PD3.0 and Dual QC3.0 USB Ports Aluminum Car Charger with LED Voltmeter Power Switch, Lighted 150W Cigarette Lighter Socket 2 in 1 DIY Kit for Boat RV ATV, etc. : Cell Phones & Accessories
The USB and 12v outlets, with the electrical connectors stuck out of the Cubby quite a bit. I was not able to twist/turn the Cubby to get it installed without risking damage to the Cubby or the wires.
I might have been able to install it without the wires attached and reached up from under the truck to connect everything. Decided not to try
I 3d printed a Riser to match the shape and holes of he Outlet plate. This reduced the amount the outlets extended out of the side of the cubby. I then had the clearance to split the Cubby with wiring attached into the factory opening
The last item I needed were the 2 screws for the Cubby. The XLT cover on the drivers side only has 4 screws. I needed 2 more.
I purchased a bag of 4-Part #: W505424S450B. I did not see a way to buy just 2. Price was $18
I have 2 extras of these bolts. If anyone can use them, message me and I will mail them to you, no charge. Just want to help out another Forum Member
I want to thank all of the members of this forum. It has been great reading about your new Mavericks and thinking of how I was going to Mod mine when it finally arrived.
