Devil you know vs devil you don't. For me potential price increase and added new problems (or features as they're called) would keep me in a 24.

If you're a fan of playing order games (I'm not). You could cancel or give up you're current order. Place another 24 order closer to July so your build date is after the 25' order window opens then really figure out which you want.
I'm not a fan of order games. My build date is June 24, so my guess is that it will arrive in late July.

And I'm leaning toward just keeping the '24. The allure of waiting for the new model is great and all, but unless I have more details about the '25 before it arrives, I'm going to stick with it. I wonder if the whole "2025 refresh" hype is just that...trying to get me as a consumer to spend more money on stuff I don't want or need.

In hindsight, I wish I'd have been in the market a year ago - would have been a little less expensive to get a 2023 at the time!

What's a deposit? That's a nice kick in the butt for 30 years of loyalty.

My small town dealer took my order over the phone. All they required was a copy of my driver's license for COVP, which I texted to them. No deposit necessary and they honored price protection upon delivery, as promised on the phone call. I had never even met the salesman until the day I went to pick up my Maverick. The only additional cost OTD was $129 doc fee, which I was aware of in advance.
I ordered my by email from my local dealer, and I gave them no deposit...nothing. So I could cancel at any time if I choose to do so. I have received official Ford communication with the car's build date, VIN, etc., so I know I'm in the queue with my '24.

If it makes you feel better I was in the market about a year ago in June. There were no 23's to be had without significant markup. The order banks for 23' had closed earlier that year also. I got on the waiting list for 24' as soon as the list reopened in July then waited until 2/24 for delivery.

There are many people who did get an order in time for 23' but then we're never built.

So, you may pay a little more for your late 24' but your buying process will likely be more streamlined and less frustrating.

So I'm new to this forum, and I've enjoyed reading through.

I ordered a Hybrid XLT in April, and it's supposed to be manufactured in late June, and I'm excited to get it. My brother in law has a 2023 which is what got me interested.

I've recently read that the 2025 model will become available for pre-ordering in July. I've seen that it will be redesigned, and I'm wondering if anyone on here has an opinion on whether it would be smart to wait for the 2025 to come out or stick with my 2024 order? Any perspective offered would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The 2025 will be more expensive, as for the redesign they haven't really shown much besides a larger screen. I like the Maverick for its price-point but as of this year the MSRP is now ~26,000 after the delivery & transportation fee is added. This truck is supposed to be cheap but every year its price goes up a little. It is barely an affordable truck in 2024.

You're right - the price may not jump too much, but it isn't going to go down! Compared to other trucks, the Maverick is still VERY affordable - the next level up (mid-size) is another $5-6k. That's one thing that drove me to this. I'm getting the XLT, so it will be about $30k with the hybrid and delivery fee.

And I don't really care about the screen size, to be honest. I believe the other changes are rumored to be about cosmetics and styling, but who knows at this point.

If I had the luxury to do so, I'd do that for sure, but I will need a car late this summer. I'm hoping there will be more details about the '25 refresh released this summer before my '24 arrives. If it's going to be much better without being much more expensive, I may wait and try to figure something out for the months in between. We'll see!

That does make me feel better. It's been a breeze so far. By the time it arrives, it looks like my wait will be only 3 months. Much better than what you and others went through in 2023. At least I hope that's the case!

I have seen some 2024s listed online without big dealer markups. Seems like supply has caught up to demand somewhat.
