Hi everyone,

I placed two maverick orders on July 18 like most of us on here for my father and I. The trucks were both XL hybrids and one was a roll-over from 2023, while the other was a fresh order. The rollover was supposed to be scheduled for October 16th build week but went into production a week later and has stalled. The new order was scheduled later, built, and has now been shipped. Both trucks are identical except for color. Upon contacting Ford customer support, they told me they couldn't explain the discrepancy but stated the status as:

PRIMARY STATUS: In Production
SECONDARY STATUS: Returned from Body Company: The vehicle has been returned from the body company (upfitter).

Any idea on what could be going on? I've attached screenshots of both orders, let me know what y'all think. Thanks!

Vehicles with spray in bed liner are sent to an adjacent facility to have it installed, then returned back to the main plant yard. It is tracked as you described. Possible one went over and was returned before the other, hence the discrepancy.

Gotcha, that makes sense. Still wonder why the other one took longer to complete as I would expect them to want to get the first ones in back out. Had me worried there was some sort of damage holding up the process.

It’s probably a queuing mismatch. Not all units coming off the line get SIBL, but all the ones sent over sit in a couple of separate physical queues, so likely get pulled based on where they are rather than build sequence. Mine was over there for 6 days, so clearly there was a higher SIBL backlog that week. More randomization will probably occur when they go back over to shipping.

Mine went exactly the same way. The rollover order and my new order were the exact same trim chassis and options. One ordered in Sept of 2022 and the other ordered in July of 2023. The rollover was scheduled for Oct 16th then moved to Oct 23rd. The new order was scheduled for Oct 30. The new order was built and shipped a few days sooner than the rollover. The rollover got stuck in "returned from body company" for 10 days. It would be nice to know why. Both were Lariat Hybrids with moon roof as only option.
