2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid Engine Problems

OK UPDATE: Ford Dealer called and said I need a whole new engine! I know this is just the start of a ton of other problems with the vehicle and don't want it anymore. So after waiting 6+ months for a vehicle now i'll have to wait another 6 but most likely will never get a Ford ever again.

Dang! How do you sell, get ride of, a truck with a bad engine? Maybe you can make a deal with the dealer. Lemon law?

I have a 2024 2.5 XLT that I bought last month and the check engine light came on at 734 miles on the Odometer. I took it in immediately. They replaced the Heat Exchanger. Not a good start to a hopefully long relationship with this vehicle.

Mine is a 2022. I have almost 20,000 miles on it and about a month ago I was getting engine shakes. Before that I would get about 2-3 seconds patches of strong vibration like the engine was seizing every once and a while. When I took it in for an oil change I told them about it they said that the pressure sensor was broken and replaced it. It felt okay (still not 100%) for a couple of days but now the strong shake is back.

24 Lariat Hybrid built mid Jan, brought home 4/3/24, 825 miles all local, some expressway, no engine/drive train issues thus far.

Hybrids are very complex vehicles.
Really two vehicles in one.

Which is why hybrids are NOT the long term solution for society. BEV's are the logical step. Much simpler to build and maintain and the reliability is inherently high in EV's. Unfortunately the batteries tend to be expensive at this point in time. And the recharging rate is lower than some desire. Recalls on EV are few and usually software related. The hardware is generally very sound and easier to troubleshoot.

2024 XLT lux hybrid, 3,700 miles, 1,800 highway 75 mph no issues. First oil change by me at 3,300, oil monitor read 77% Valvoline ultimate 0-20 full synthetic, ford filter. I will not do the recalls.

Bad engines happen, that sucks though. No issues here after 13 months, 8k miles except a strut was rattling so it was replaced under warranty.
