2023 Maverick Hybrid First Fillup

I guess it is possible to get 600 miles from a tank of gas! I have had my Mav since April 25 and finally needed to put some gas into it.

The gauge said I had 50 miles to empty, but I only needed to put 13.5 gallons to fill it up, so either the calculation of 50 miles was incorrect or the tank is not 16 gallons. Overall, I am getting 45 MPG which is better than expected.

I am very happy with the Hybrid overall. The recall for potential explosion and fire is a bit of a bummer, but that is the only real negative I have so far. I wish that Ford would give me my FordPass points (2 months is a bit too long to wait) but I will reach out to the dealer again this week about that.

Tank size has always been an issue. My 2022 Hybrid says the tank is only 13.8 gallons, not 16 gallons.

The Hybrid's computer uses 13.8 gallons burned as the imaginary reference mark for MTE = 0.

The physical tank is quite a bit larger. Many threads and 100's of posts to read up on this.
