First consumer hybrid delivery?

Without reading through thousands of pages, has anyone received a hybrid? I know demo units exist, just wondering if/when the first ones will show up.

As far as I know, delivery of a vehicle in the US cannot happen until EPA ratings are reviewed and approved, which has not happened yet.

we have started to get Hybrid estimated delivery dates. Is it optimistic logistics, is it actually going to be shipped? We don’t know, Ford won’t say… but then again why the heck give us the estimate?

Surecritic has 50 owner reviews now on the Santa Cruz...and they pretty much says it is an "awesome" vehicle...Sometimes I look fondly at the SC...then at its MPG.

Mine still is not scheduled and the dealer has 45 on order for retail. They are more interested in getting F150'"s built as the profit margins are higher. As for as Hybrids go for the Maverick I would guess there are more than 2500 hundred built and sitting in the desert waiting on the EPA. If the same drive train is in the Escape Hybrid what is the problem with the numbers. They can't be that much difference. I hope they don't sit to long as the cartels might start using them to move their poisons.

Thanks for all of the input folks. Waiting on my 17 GMC Sierra to sell then I'm ordering mine.

I'm not in a rush so I think ordering in the next few weeks should be delivered January-ish.

I never heard of Surecritic, so I checked it out… everything I looked at had 5.0 stars, even a shop I know does not deserve it. You might want to check out the Santa Cruz forum. Parts missing, total transmission failure, one unit had 32 codes at one time, Lemon law lawsuit already
Most are happy but enough major things to make it worth a read.
