Well it might be called CHT sensor.
It's synonymous with cylinder head temperature in a lot of vehicles.
Common practice is to infer coolant temperature from CHT.

FYI, ScanGauge has always reassuringly
reported cylinder head temp and coolant temp to be within 1 degree F of each other.
