As a PNWer myself I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your post, is this tire available widely or is it at select dealerships? Love the aggressive look. I definitely will be going this route as soon as mine arrives next week 🤞🏽
It's kinda new. Not in a lot places yet. Les Schwab, Summit Racing and lots of online vendors.

I keep coming back to this one as I really do like those Maxxis Razr tires, I swapped my factory Wildpeaks back on for the winter and I really have no reason to swap them out but I also really like the style/appearance of these. Reminds me a lot of the Nitto Ridge Grapplers which I had on my previous F150.
Yes, I really dig the Nitto AT and MT lines!

Updated the review. Added some paragraph breaks, modified some sentence structure for readability. Added a few minor clarifications/distinctions.

Great review - thanks! I live in Florida so the rain and terrential rain info really helps. Curious, and forgive my ignorance, because I just don't know, two questions.
1) These tires fit without any modifications to the truck, wheel wells, no lift needed, etc.? &
2) Any idea if it affects the warranty in any way?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.

  1. No modifications whatsoever. No lift required. Fits nicely, no rubbing. Not even during hard cornering while braking, while hitting a pothole. :) The biggest issue is the speedo being off 1 MPH. Not a big deal to me.
  2. No warranty issues. My Ford dealer also gave me a quote to do the same. Their quote was competitive on Toyo OC AT III's. But they did not carry the MAXXIS RAZR AT's. Getting a lift could cause a warranty issue, should it cause strain or failure of CV boots, axles, struts, etc. But I did not get a lift. I was considering a 1" lift, but the 245's removed enough of the rake that it's not as important to me now.

Nakajima, thanks so much for the info. I'll definitely be looking into these tires.

Any additional road noise?
Yep. Definitely a little louder than the Pirelli's. All those tread pads make a subtle hum on dry pavement. Nothing that impacts conversation in the cab. But it is audible. I kinda like the extra noise. Makes it feel a little more truck like. In a good way.

Yes, indeed! Les Schwab did try to upsell me on some great rims. But I love the black FX4 wheels. Once they are everywhere and boring, I may upgrade in a few years.
Thank you. How are they enjoying our little snow storm? We should go do cookies in a parking lot somewhere lol.

I drove to Tumwater Home Depot yesterday morning. It did great. But with all the people spinning out and sliding, I became paranoid someone was going to hit my new little rig!!

We have 9" or so out here at my house out at Steamboat. My road is unplowed for 1/2 mile to the asphalt. Had no issues getting through it, even though it was hitting the bottom of the undercarriage. The RAZR's seem like they paddle through the snow pretty well, even when they cannot fully connect through.

Today I am driving my daughter's boyfriend back to Skagit. Hoping for good road conditions. Not necessarily for me. But for everyone else!!!

Man 245s look so good on the Mav! I think they hit the sweet spot.
