2022 Maverick FX4 - No Sport or Eco Modes

Believe it or not I'm on my second Maverick. The dealer put me in a blue XLT Lux for 3 months while I was waiting on my FX4 custom order. I was surprised to find a much larger dash screen in my FX4 and less seatbelt notifications "which has been very nice". Sand mode is amazing on the soft beach sand here in St Augustine Florida, absolutely tore it up!

Does anyone have an FX4 with ECO and SPORT modes? I thought it came standard on all 2.0's.

You have to use Forscan to enable Eco and Sport on FX4 trucks. There’s a few different threads on it as lots, myself included, have done it.

I ordered mine in October 2021 and some dude bailed on his order that came in before mine, because he was buying a house. Bozard Ford said I was next in line since I called them every other week asking where my truck was .. haha.

I bought the blue one and traded it in when mine was ready.

I ended up making 2k profit on the blue one from the dealer with no dealer mark up. They took care of me.

The Truck in my Avatar was for sale at Bozard Ford about a month ago but I don’t know if they still have it. I took it out for a test drive but couldn’t make a deal with them cause they had a $10K markup with over 6k miles on it!!!

The eco mode for me gets a little over 1 to maybe 2 MPG on the mixed driving and up 3 MPG for hwy compared to normal mode. Terrain, temp., how much of a lead foot you have on the accelerator will also affect your MPG.

Sorry for the total rookie question but if I don't have the automotive technological knowledge to perform the Forscan to enable Eco and Sport on my FX4. Where can I get this done? I don't suppose the dealer would do this.

Not everyone can. Did you read the story of the PhD student that had thrown 7 new laptops away because she didn't KNOW that they needed to be recharged?

Seriously. If someone tells me they can't do a specfic task I generally offer to do it for them or find someone who will.
