2022 Ford Maverick XL Dash lights out.

Hi,

Got my maverick in October of 2022. It is a hybrid XL model with about 4500 miles on it and everything (besides the hybrid braking at low speeds) has been great. It appears now the light in the instrument cluster is completely out. All of the gauges seem to be working, it is just not backlit. Everything else works fine, and you can still drive the car. Any ideas on what caused this? I have an appointment to take it into my local ford dealership, but that is not for another 2 weeks and it sucks not being able
to drive it. Its almost impossible to see even the speedometer even in the daylight. I am hoping someone else has encounter this issue.

Fuse?

I thought that I checked that fuse, and it was good, but maybe I checked the wrong one. I will go out and check it again. Manual is showing item 22 with a 7.5 amp fuse.

Checked the fuse again. It is testing good.

The are two buttons that control the brightness of the instrument cluster, near the dial for the headlights, have you tried pushing the + button to increase brightness? I know it's a long shot, because I don't think it should totally turn off, but worth a try.

Have you been getting deep sleep messages? That part may or may not be related. There was another user who had that + gauges out and the dealer reprogrammed the instrument cluster to fix it.

In the mean time, download a basic gps speedo app, that way if it's drivable, then drive it until you go to the appointment.
