With it being cold now, I have been starting my Maverick up 5 mins before I leave every day. I am noticing a normal water drop out the end of the exhaust, but also one a couple feet further up the exhaust. Wondering if anyone else is seeing that? I haven't gotten underneath to see exactly where it is coming from. I may try to do that after work today.

All silencers (mufflers) have weep holes so moisture does not build up inside of it. This is totally normal.

Mine also drips from 2 places, the tip and muffler. I was originally concerned when I noticed the puddle underneath since I had seen posts about drippy transmissions. According to vewdu, that is where my ac bits are located, behind the trans.

I wouldn't be worried, most exhaust systems these days will have other drain holes in the muffler ahead of the actual tailpipe.

My Chev. HHR has one in the stock muffler, and if its cold enough you can see vapor coming from the hole...its not a "noise" path though.

It's a good thing, so that the moisture doesn't stay at the lowest point in the muffler and deteriorate it.

Totally normal . keep up the good work at keeping an eye on your vehicle and voicing your concerns . we all have learned by observation and asking questions .
