So last Tuesday @ 0800 I dropped off the truck for two recalls (airbag, wire harness) as per dealers request. They said parts were in and they needed to get them done before end of month. Today it's Tuesday 1st Aug @ 1030 and still no truck no phone call for four days. So how long does it take????? No impact, no idea. Gotta love it:)
..
My dealer did the airbag recall, re-programmed various modules to address the hybrid grabby brakes, and the 12v battery cable overlay in one day. I dropped it off in the a.m. and picked it up the next day. They gave me a loaner too.

As it turns out my dealer’s service department is much better than I had originally thought. It sounds as if your dealer is lousy at best.

I did each of these separately, and they were both “full day” replacements. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-8 hours, but I had my truck back at the end of the day.

I would certainly let the other fish in the small fishbowl hear about this! :D I got to my dealer at 8 AM and left at 10:10 after having an oil change, tire rotation, and air bag recall done. NO problems with air bag job. A good Ford service center. It will certainly influence my decision on where I buy my next Ford.

Update: Took 8 days. Had dirt, grease, hand prints (greasy), panels not attached, headliner sticking out, seat belt trapped under side panel........ just the usual stuff. All this hassle over a couple millimeters in the airbag length. Like I said, Gotta love it:)
I’m sorry and have heard many stories like this and myself had dirty handprints on my headliner from a trim piece replaced under warranty - when I complained they had me bring it back and they cleaned it up, so once I got the airbag recall I mentioned to my service representative and also left a note in the vehicle that I would appreciate extra care to be taken as I dropped it off clean and wanted it back clean 😉 and I had no other issues that others did either. But I would for sure mention it

Dropped my 22 Lariat off on Tues Sept 5 for battery cable recall. The appointment was made 2 weeks prior as they could not do the recall when I first brought the pickup in because they misbooked me. Told me it would be ready that afternoon. Called me at 4 to say they were missing one part to complete the job. Called me this AM to le tme know it was all done. Hopped in it, reset the clock and adjusted the mirrors and headed home. Got home and my wife told me the air bags were done too!. Clean job with just a 1" piece of wire showing on passenger A pillar. I think it was my Kia mirror wire. With the exception of them not telling me about the air bags I would rate the job at A-.

Been driving a loaner awd maverick for two weeks now. Recalls and warranty work being done. Warranty work they have no clue how to fix so I might have this loaner indefinitely.

Got my Maverick water bottle for doing airbag recall. Just another useless/poor design item to add to my Maverick. It won’t fit in door storage pockets. I’d rather had my dealer do my airbags with more care and not get greasy finger prints all over and scratches all over everything.

I'm dropping mine off after work today for the Airbag recall, oil change and tire rotation. Fingers crossed... I told them about the grabby breaks but they said my vin doesn't show for that recall 23E07...

I brought mine in for recalls, an oil change, and another issue, it was all scheduled. They diagnosed the issue and said they had to order parts. Gave me back the truck and said hopefully in 203 weeks but they didn't do the recalls or the oil change!
