Honestly if you need a motor. Even if you replace with a 2.0 you will not build enough power to ever need a 2.3 and that 2.3 will make no more power than the 2.0 until both are built pushing some major boost.
I have done some of the most in depth builds on my ecoboost including my focus rs.
I can tell you that a stock 2.0 or 2.3 will hold 400 whp for a very long time. None of the turbos that fast mavericks offered would get you to that hp. A maxed out stock rs turbo did 389awhp on my car and that thing came stock with a massive turbo when comparing to even the biggest turbo Ivan offered.
So if you want a 2.3 i say for sure go for it. But know you will gain very little until you want a full long block build and push over 500whp.
