I've ran 87, 91 and 91 ethanol free. I cannot get 93 where I live. Obviously, ethanol free is miracle juice but for the price? Doesn't make sense to use every time. I run it once a quarter. The rest of the time is 91. The bump is noticeable for me, my driving habits, and location. If I was on flat ground where I used to live when I bought my Escape Hybrid, I'd run 87. 36-40 MPG I was getting in the Escape paired with the savings on 87 - I'd offset it once a month with a fuel cleaner.

Fuel savings from grocery shopping put 91 as a no brainer for the EB for me. It's .5 cents off just for having the card and .30 cents off per gallon for the rest. so I save .35 cents per gallon. It's rare that I run out of points and you can get more, but the amount I spend per month keeps it around .35 cents. My family has their credit card that saves them an additional .55 cents, so they are almost at a full dollar off for diesel and they pay 0% interest because it gets paid off each month.

Regardless, I'd use 91 anyways with the difference I saw. The math basically came out to where it's around 8% extra per fill up for 12% savings in economy. Pair that with the points just for buying groceries and it's worth it. Ethanol free was close to 15% better, but it's a dollar more than 91 where I live, so not worth it.

I have tried both 87 and 91 octane fuel and I found a 2mph increase with the
higher octane. Since the manual recommends the higher octane, I'll pay the higher difference of $5.15 vs $5.55(NorCal Costco). In the end, it's not much difference and I only have 3500 miles in 7 months.

We only get 85,87, and 90 here. I run 85 in all my newer vehicles and run a tank of 90 every 5th tank.
85 is just under 5$a gallon, at the station I usually fill at.

Gasoline, by far, is the best fuel to use.

I ran costco regular unleaded (87) exclusively all summer. That was 55+ days above 115 degrees. The EB 2.0 didn't skip a beat. I did not tow anything ever.

After seeing the YouTube videos on how well it keeps your engine clean, I started using Shell V Power Nitro +. I am with fuel rewards which saved me on T-Mobile Tuesdays up to $.25 a gallon and five cents a gallon any day of the week
and also have a.Gas Buddy card which say five cents a gallon any day of the week.

87 octane Top Tier fuels are the most cost-effective for your Ecoboost. Higher octanes will provide better performance, but any gain in fuel efficiency from higher octanes is not enough to offset the higher price.
