I have a 20w solar charger I would like to hook up to the truck. I park for 5-6 days at a time and have been using a solar battery tender/charger for years so that it keeps the battery charged even in the winter on my other car.

I'm wondering where you think the best place to plug in the charger would be? My understanding is that the Mav doesn't have a hot cig lighter so that option is not available for me. Would the rear power plug be hot wired?

Worst case is I run lines out of the battery but that would be a PITA.

Has to be something hot to tap under the dash. Be sure to post what you find.

Would the jumper cable connections be an option?

I use this: https://amz.run/7E7N attached to the battery and run it to the front of my engine compartment so I can quickly connect/disconnect.

I assume the jump posts under the hood is the best choice. If the 12v in the hybrid the manual says to not connect anything to the negative post due to BMS there so have to find ground elsewhere

Just curious to see if there have been any issues connecting your solar charger to the jump posts. Interested in doing the same.

I haven't connected the solar charger to the jump posts but have left my battery tender connected to the jump posts for a week. Haven't had any issues and zero deep sleep events with the battery. So it should work perfectly.

Only issue would be if the windshield blocks UV, as that would cut down on energy production, so probably better left outside the vehicle if that is an option.
