Also, while I solved one problem, I've created another; my retrofitted F150 Fog Lights no longer fit properly :( (this intercooler is much larger than stock). Not sure yet if I can salvage them, may have to come up with something else for fog lights..
Oh, the cost of progress!!! Great upgrade, though!

fyi ---were you warned about oversize intercooler's need for a blanking shield in humid climates on the RS? I left mine on in Fl. and had plenty of HP!

So… had you gotten 4k package… is this the intercooler you would have gotten anyways from factory? Just a curious question. Nice mod. Looks nice

Compressing a gas makes it hotter and want to be less dense which fights against the efficiency of the forced induction when you want to push as much oxygen molecules into the cylinders as you can. A larger intercooler has more surface area across which to exchange that heat resulting in cooler, denser air to reach the intake. More air + more fuel = more power.

Quick question. are you hard mounted to the bumper? Or did you use anything to keep the intercooler from rubbing on it, like some padding?

Also, Do you have any way to see what your intake temps are now that you have all that cooling capacity?

Thanks
