I am new to the Maverick world but have found many posts on this forum helpful over the past several weeks as I have been looking for a Maverick. I never thought I would own a truck but now have a small yard clean-up business and need one. I love the maneuverability of the Maverick and am planning to put a bed extender in whichever one I find.

I have searched the used market and see that the hybrids are rare enough that one does not save a lot compared to ordering new. I suppose one does save a lot of time by buying used.

I have "built" many Mavericks using the builder on Ford's website of each trim. I am leaning toward an XL with adding the 360 blind spot package.

I know an XL does not have a 110 v household plug in the bed of the truck, but does it have one inside the truck?

Thanks1

A 110 volt outlet requires a power inverter. It's a package add-on. There is no 110 volt outlet inside the truck itself without the add-on.

FYI. The OEM 110 v inverter is a modified sine wave with a maximum output of 3.3 amps. You cannot run a lot of things with it. If you plan on running more than the 3.3 amps consider an aftermarket pure sine inverter. The hybrid with truck in ready status where ice can come on could power a reasonably larger inverter but it will need its own 12v battery. If you are wanting to recharge battery tools just purchase DC chargers for them for better efficiency. The Dcdc converter in the hybrid is rated for 265 amps continuous.
EDIT TO ADD:
If you add anything onto the 12 volt bus be sure that it can accept 15.6 volt input (maybe slightly more ?) particularly in winter where I see 15.6v usually dropping to 15.4 after a short time. A lot of devices have over voltage protection at 14 volts and will not come on when input is over its limit. A buck converter in front of your device to limit input to your device is one solution.

AFAIK, the in-cab 110V plug is no longer available on the XL. The XLT requires the Luxury Package. It is standard on the Lariat

I find the outlet kinda useless at 3 amps. Ok to charge tool batteries but won’t run much.

I have a 3 wheel mobility scooter that stays in my truck. The 110 inverter is handy to keep it charged.

The 110v outlet has very limited use. I think the one in my Mav bed can support about a 3.3 amp load.

So maybe it will recharge the batteries on your cordless tools? It won't power a blender for a tailgate party. Perhaps the aftermarket inverter for 110v will have greater capacity? Then there is the consideration of running down the vehicle's 12v battery.

Definitely order the trailer hitch for $100.

I ordered truck with power inverter, have 0ne 110V at the back of center console, and the other in the back of the truck. Truck manual advises to run engine when using the inverter.
