Sometimes in your ecoboost you need to slow down and check the scenery instead of blowing right by it.I had to look hard to see the horses.
Wichita PD still has mounted officers. Not very many, but a few for outdoor festivals, parades and unfortunately they get used every Friday and Saturday in Old Town when the bars close. The idea being that horses can move through dense crowds of people a lot more effectively than officers on foot. I guess they get good mpg also.
According to this forum, that's about the same MPG improvement as removing the mudflaps.Times are tough on people so they ride into the city now.
Emissions might be high at top speed but if you hold your breath you will gain .3 mph.
