I keep a spreadsheet of my mileage and I hit the one year mark. Here are the highlights from the spreadsheet. Note: I live in lower michigan where we get down to -50 and as high as 110 although both are very short lived extremes every year.

I've filled the tank 23 times in one year.
I average 16.5 days between fill-ups.
I average 13.5 gallons per fillup.
I average 565.5 miles per tank.
In the hottest time of year I've gotten as much as 47.2 MPG.
In the coldest time of year I've gotten as low as 35.12 MPG.
I average 41.9 miles per gallon.
The truck's estimated MPG is 43.5. The difference between actual MPG and estimated is 1.5 MPG.
My total fuel cost over the year is $955.38.
Average cost of fuel per gallon is $3.06 and rising.
I average $41.54 per fill-up.
I use 87 octane only.
Total miles are 13286.8.
I average 0.89 gallons per day.
I travel about 37.24 miles on average per day.
I'm averaging 13.8 miles per dollar presently.
I did my first oil change at 1215 miles. The next one was at 12150 miles or after 10,935 miles when the app told me it was time.
My oil life percentage average is 67.1%

I may have other information hidden in the spreadsheet so if you have a question; have at it.

I have not done any mods other than cosmetic. I did add a tonuea cover a few months into ownership and I think it helped increase my MPG. Not by a lot but some is better than none. Plus the cover helps out during a Costco run. I can't have giant bricks of paper towels all over the highway.

My 24 hybrid Lariat turned 1 on March 17. I have 15,011 miles on it. I live in Maine and yes, there is a stark difference between cold and warm weather mileage-wise. I have an AGM Ford battery free under warranty. No battery messages since, but I’ve been driving a lot. I really like it. Smoother, quieter, obviously better gas mileage and much better tech than my 2017 Frontier,

Op. That’s one of the best by owner reviews of the ā€˜Mavbrid’ I’ve come across yet.

Concise,
Good Data,
Like I’ve said before, The Maverick Hybrid
Could very well become. ā€˜Unobtainable’ In the near future if the current trend in gasoline costs remain high.

Not a Maverick, but related for comparison purposes: my wife's 2025 hybrid Escape Platinum, now at 13,000 miles is averaging 46.4 mpgs and about 605 miles per tankful.

My 2024 Maverick Tremor? 26.2 mpgs, and I'm feeling mpg envy!

Nice data - so easy during fillups to add the data.
Since we don't get a readout for Total & EV miles like Lariat & 25/26MY's - did you ever track common trips for those figures on turnoff - to get an idea what % you were at?

I am annoyed when you creep in under EV, it hides the mpg figures until you start the ICE. I've gotten into habit of getting my Trip 1 (fuel) and Trip 2 (oil change) figures before I turn off.
Then turn-off and start filling - get my Fordapp figures.
I'd recommend adding 2 figures from that - when displayed - OLM% & Est Distance to next oil change. It can be interesting. They removed Est Date of service from app, but it could come back. I also math out the OLM% by time and distance since last oil change.

Does the Escape really look that much more aerodynamic than the Mav - or she's just great at driving right?

I don't think aerodynamics is much of a factor excluding what you'd expect comparing the sleeker overall body shape of an SUV to a pickup truck.

She doesn't drive aggressively anymore, but I wouldn't call her driving style granny-like.

I've concluded that her hybrid does 2 things well: straight battery assist if you stay out of the pedal, and braking regeneration. My few times driving it, it was consistently staying off the gas engine quite a bit, but it does assist as needed.

Honestly, a pretty neat setup.

There are several simple things that can affect MPG.
1) Outside temperature. If I lived in the Southern US, my mileage would be higher if all other conditions remained the same.
2) City V Hwy. I get shit mileage on the highway but my commute is more city which gives better mileage with a hybrid.
3) Driving style. I like to look ahead and coast to any potential stops. I also like to look in the rear view mirror because if no one is behind me, I keep the engine % around 7-9 which takes forever to get up to 45 mph. If I do have cars behind me, I find that no one will honk or zip around me if I accelerate with about 13-15% power.

My wife commutes about 45 min each direction mostly on the highway. For her, the all gas Toyota does a much better job MPG-wise. I can get up to 45 MPG if we take a long road trip but she does more around 38 MPG because she really likes to put her foot in it.

Are there any hyper-milers here? What tips do you have to increase your MPGs? I like to over inflate my tires by 4 lbs. I maintain great traction even in the winter, have no uneaven tire tread wear patterns and get better mileage.

My Brother and his wife bought a class C with a V-10.
Drove it from Tampa Florida
to L. A. Californication and back while gas was very high.
Camp ground rates were more than cheap hotels.

I forget his cost of that trip, been too long, but when he got back and gave me the total trip cost I made some calls.

My wife and I could have driven our 2010 Mustang out there and back and,,,
Drum roll ~~~~~~~
Stayed in five star hotels and ate like kings for far less money than they spent roughing it in an RV,
Cooking and cleaning and shit,
Dam that I preferred room service.
