Just ordered (6-25-21) a Rapid Red First Edition. 4K towing, 2.0 Turbo AWD. Ordered Molded flaps, All weather mats and full size spare with it
No Reservation Fee, No Money down order. MSRP $37,335, will have to wait to see what supplier price will be once Vin in generated and maybe by the time it comes in there might be a rebate?? or wishful thinking

If valid Ford will respond immediately after the dealer inputs your order. That is how it went with me this week. I was still sitting at the dealership and the Ford confirmation email came through.

I had to sign a couple of documents showing what I was ordering, pay a $500 deposit (which seems to vary by dealership), and then received an email confirmation almost immediately from Ford when the dealership input the info. This is part of the email Ford sent me:

Your vehicle order is one of the early orders for the 2022 Maverick XLT, and because we are building this vehicle just for you, we wanted to share a bit more on our production process as it may impact your delivery time. As part of the quality assurance process at Ford Motor Company, customer orders are only built when all quality checks have been met. This process may lead to a longer wait time for your vehicle to be built, but is designed to help ensure your satisfaction. Throughout the production process, we will keep you updated on the status of your order. You will receive email notifications when your vehicle is: Scheduled for Production – all necessary parts are secured, and your order has been placed in the production schedule. Built – your vehicle has been built, and we will let you know of the estimated arrival date at your dealership. Shipped – your vehicle has been shipped, is on its way to your dealership, and we’ll include the latest estimated arrival date.

How does the deal happen? I reserved my Maverick, got confirmation email from Dealer. Whats next, do we talk price first, deposit and than work out financing? My Dealer seems to be clueless on anything other than it will be out in the fall of this year. PLEASE, someone enlightem me on how the deal is done. Thanks
