Good to know, Thanks for the tip.It can be noticeable, especially if you don't drive around it. This auto trans tends to keep Rs way too low (for fuel efficiency reasons, i get it), but doesn't keep the engine 'ready for boost' in this low RPM state.
From owning a 2.0L EB 6MT FoST, I know these small turbos like to spool around 2700 RPM before you Smash on the pedal. If you learn to apply throttle, or get it shifted into the right gear / RPM range, it works so much better. Slowly roll into it up to ~2700 RPM, then plant it. Just a bit of a trick to working around the turbo-lag of a turbo'd engine.
Sport mode helps keep the Rs up better, and 'hold a gear' longer before it tries to upshift.
Normal and especially Eco modes will try to keep Rs as low as possible, and upshift early.
