It can be noticeable, especially if you don't drive around it. This auto trans tends to keep Rs way too low (for fuel efficiency reasons, i get it), but doesn't keep the engine 'ready for boost' in this low RPM state.

From owning a 2.0L EB 6MT FoST, I know these small turbos like to spool around 2700 RPM before you Smash on the pedal. If you learn to apply throttle, or get it shifted into the right gear / RPM range, it works so much better. Slowly roll into it up to ~2700 RPM, then plant it. Just a bit of a trick to working around the turbo-lag of a turbo'd engine.

Sport mode helps keep the Rs up better, and 'hold a gear' longer before it tries to upshift.

Normal and especially Eco modes will try to keep Rs as low as possible, and upshift early.

One of the reasons I chose the Mav over all the other pickup options was related to weight. I think the Low-Bo is around 3700 lbs? I want to get it on a scale to find out for sure. Almost every other option is nearer to (or well over) 4,000 lbs. Especially body-on-frames, that then handle like they are a body-on-frame..which I did not want to go back to.

I notice the weight in handling/corners. And maybe the body roll can be managed better with springs, but I don't want to go much lower for my use-case. Actually I've noticed, while it rolls a bit (more than a Focus ST-duh), once it 'rolls over' it is then supported well to hold itself in that position and doesn't keep rolling further, or back n forth much at all.
The Lobo really should have more supportive seat bolstering too. I want to be "hugged" by my seats. :) But, I'm sure large people would then have an issue fitting in them.

The braking however is very good for its size/weight, imo.

Nah, I routinely get under 15 mpg in city driving. In normal mode. I have an fx4 and it doesn’t have sport mode.
Are you in that Lifted, Wide, and Big tire'd pickup in your profile? With skid plate, rollbar and racks on the roof? I can def. see that with that much aero drag, tire resistance and weight addition.

The LoBoi should have some aero advantages vs that setup.

Those are the weight numbers I've seen floating around on some videos and posts too.

I have a 90 degree turn onto our street and there's a pot hole at the apex so I have to go deeper into the turn before cranking the wheel so the rear wheel misses the pot hole. I noticed that I have to turn the wheel more than I did with the GTI. I have to cross my arms - right over the left on the steering wheel to start and right under the left to turn the wheel enough to make the turn.

My ultralight had a ROTAX 447 with a gear reduction. We had a couple of sleds too but they were Yamaha's

I think I am/will get used to the amount of steering input required, but it was a bit of a shock realizing how much it takes to go lock-to-lock on normal vehicles. :p I had a similar issue when I'd get into other peoples vehicles and wonder why its so slow to turn-in. Literally driving through/past turns like I didn't know how to drive.. it was ridiculous. lol

I'm still hoping for an ST Maverick..but I was sick of waiting, and need a pickup bed. Lobo got close, but when a 6 Speed manual and 300hp/310trq 2.0L ST version comes out..I'll be seriously considering it. But, not holding my breathe.

I started on an older 470cc twin with rotary valve, then a 500 twin, 700, 800. All Rotax. Some engine tuning/mods, some big bores.. Then I dabbled in other brands some; Yamaha 1000cc 4 stroke 3 cyl turbo, Polaris 800cc twin 2s.
Now into motos, with a 4s Yamaha WR250R dual sport, mostly turned into a single track dirtbike but still street legal. Now that I have a pickup again, I'm looking at e-Motos (Surron UltraBee) that I can transport to the trailhead, instead of riding pavement.

Although I think turbo lag is in the foot of the beholder
more in the gut and back of the beholder, after his foot doe3 it's thing!
