I would doubt that the transmission is half the cost of the vehicle. $3-5k I would more likely expect... I have been wrong before though, so says my wife...
Vw had used this style for a decade, you can look up issues with their keys if you like. All the keys my family has had of this style, we've never had a problem... My parents have owned 4-5 VWs each for 3-5 years, I had one, my brother had at least one, my dad carried his keys all day doing...
Has anyone considered that this could be an aerodynamic issue?
The shield on the passenger side could change the flow of air enough to keep this from happening on the other side. I drive enough to check, and conditions in central NY are conducive to procedure similar results...
If someone...
This thread (below) 👇 answered my question. Seems my concerns were unfounded.

Why advertise when you can't make them fast enough to keep up with current orders?
I haven't seen many car advertisements at all myself. The Maverick has an average of 5days on the lot, I have one on order. The sienna has a similar sales time, I'm sitting in ours now... Seems the cars I want...
I wouldn't blame Ford for the lack of communication, I would blame their allocation system. Since joining the forum I've learned how it works, and might have used a different dealer, but it still probably wouldn't have helped. The other dealer I would've chosen isn't overly huge either, and the...

I'll jump if I can find a low mileage crew cab f150 or ranger for the right price... Unfortunately the right price is unobtainable...
I started looking for a car in March, and watched used prices skyrocket right in front of my eyes, them I...
I'm an XLT Lux Hybrid order, if it comes in with a drop in, I'll raise a fuss with my dealer... Maybe I get money off, maybe I get an aftermarket spray in... With a dealer survey coming, they'll probably bite, it's not that big of a cost for them... Plus they can resell the drop in...
There is always a way to improve, but there are also a thousand ways that things can go wrong. In a service industry it's one thing to provide the UPS/FedEx/Amazon level of detail, however in the manufacturing sector, things are a bit different.
For example if you only have one seal and it...
I added it to my order because I was able to talk the wife into it after she drove my current, stripped, Elantra. She hated the non power seats, I was able to use that to get her to agree... I could do without the options, but the biggest for me is the heated side mirrors. I like the heated...
I'm in upstate NY... I changed my order to get the lux package... That heated steering wheel will feel nice after an hour or two of snow blowing at 4am... Sounds like the lux package is becoming less "Lux"...
