  1. Did you experience dealer markup at time of preorder?

Like the others I say you should have walked away. I asked my dealer flat out if they were adding markups or any required add-ons. He said no and asked if I wanted him to write that on the sales order. Which he did.
  2. I just ordered my Maverick and paid the deposit!! Sooo excited!!

Congrats and welcome. Jaguar? That was my dream car for a long time. I guess that has morphed into a Tesla model Y at this point. But I'm going to buy a Maverick and keep dreaming.
  3. COVP # ?

Yeah saw that as well. Doesn't absolutely rule out it being option but still........... I feel much better having it done. Too many people waited a year to find out their dealer never finished their order with the COVP.
  4. For those who successfully have placed orders, what paperwork did you get from your dealer?

I got a "preview order" sheet signed by the sales manager and myself when I ordered. Got the "confirmed" email from Ford 30 minutes after I left the dealer. Today I got an email from dealer with the COVP - approved paperwork. Dealer said he would get me a copy of the DORA when it comes in.
  5. COVP # ?

Just got a followup email from my dealer with paperwork saying "COVP - Approved". It has a tracking number, an authorization number and an order number on it. I see that Ford is saying COVP is optional now, but I am really glad to have it.
  6. Converted to '23 -but still shows a '22 w Priority 2 & Job#2 on preview?

I would call Ford and ask them. I thought if you were a priority 02 you were being scheduled, but maybe I'm wrong on that.
  7. Will Ford increase production of Mavericks?

Yep, that is also likely a factor. I doubt any decision of that magnitude has only one purpose. Business as usual is just not going to cut it over the next 20 years. Adapt or die.
  8. Will Ford increase production of Mavericks?

Yep, most likely. A full EV Maverick is also a possibility but not sure when. If plug in was available that is what I would have bought. I can take or leave AWD but would really love to have the plug in.
  9. Will Ford increase production of Mavericks?

Battery limitations apply to hybrids as well as EV. I am not sure they have the battery production capacity to do that yet. And there is still a lot of anti-EV sentiment out there. Even on this forum there are numerous posts that spread FUD about hybrids, EVs and electrification. So those...
  10. Will Ford increase production of Mavericks?

Because EV's are the future, not the present. Ford (plus GM and everyone else) have massive battery plants under construction. Seems they will be coming on line in 2024 or 2025. So expect to see EV's become more available and prices moderate in 2025 and 2026. Until then they keep building...
  11. Dealer Sales Manager Claims That He Cannot Assign a Priority Code

He is correct, it automatically defaults to 19. But once he submits the order he can go back in and change it to anything between 10 and 19. Since you are a roll over he should set you to 10 to prioritize your order. He is either clueless or intentionally messing with you.
  12. Is your 2023 order a Hybrid or Ecoboost?

+1. Difference between 2k and 4k is not really that much if you tow regularly. Both are marginal for anything serious.
  13. Will Ford increase production of Mavericks?

Sure, but will they add another shift? Open another line at a different plant? Or are they satisfied with filling their annual production quota in 7 days?
  14. Email received after 23 order?

Placed my order on the 16th. Watched the dealer press the submit button. Received a "confirmed" email exactly 30 minutes later. I suspect at many dealers the salesperson doesn't enter the order, rather the sales manager or someone else. So your salesperson may say its entered, but until the...
  15. Dealer neglected to make me put a deposit down?

When I first talked to my dealer, 3 months ago, they said $500 deposit refundable. When I placed my pre-order they took a copy of my credit card and my driver's license. When I placed the order this week no one mentioned a deposit. I asked if they needed a deposit and he just grinned and...
  16. Will Ford increase production of Mavericks?

For 2022 model year, Ford sold out (well over sold) its production capacity and stopped orders about 6 months into the year. Much less than that for hybrids. For 2023 model year it appears they might sell out the full year's production in less than 2 weeks. So will they (can they?) increase...
  17. People entering multiple orders

Yeah, sort of like hoarding I guess. If you buy up all the toilet paper and stash it then it creates a shortage for others? Mavericks are in short supply so flipping is inevitable. If the demand wasn't there then there would not be any profit in it.
  18. People entering multiple orders

Why? Trying to understand the difference between this and someone driving to an orchard buying a bunch of apples and then selling them in town. Its business. Not trying to argue, I would really like to understand why buying a truck and reselling it is wrong? People do this every single day...
  19. People entering multiple orders

I think it is far less than 10%, probably less than 5%. Not counting those people that ordered a 22 and then a 23. Or people who actually want two, or 5. husband / wife both get one? Small company with 4 or 5 trucks, they don't qualify for fleet. So people actually buying a bunch flip...
  20. Is your 2023 order a Hybrid or Ecoboost?

If you check the NHSTA you will find there are more problems with the ECO boost than with the hybrid. No recalls at all specifically for hybrid drivetrain. Except for the engine fire which affects the 2.5l engine, not specifically the hybrid. The hybrid drive train is solid, reliable and been...
