As long as they actually submit that drivers license. My dealer just entered the order said congrats, see you when it comes in. He did have a scan of my license, and he did make a point of asking (twice) if the address on the license was correct. Even read it out and had me verify.
CP360 has features I have never had before. Lane assist and adaptive cruise control. My current vehicle has back up sensors, cross traffic sensors and side mirror sensors that light up if someone is in the blind spot. Do you need those? Nope. Do I use them almost every time I drive? Yep...
Probably MOST people did that. Not everyone hangs out on forums or Facebook. And usually the process works. We just hear about the bad experiences because few people post that everything went well. :)
I had the same question and forgot to ask at the dealership. All I got was a "Preview Order" sheet that we both signed.
Maybe @fordvideoguy can answer that. I plan on going back to the dealer Monday or Tuesday and asking for a copy of the COVP. I guess....... Maybe I need to go back and...
I guess we will see as the poll matures but yeah, that's pretty much the opposite of the "plan". Wonder whether the "plan" is based on history, astrology or available parts.............
I also wonder what the poll would say if the hybrid was offered in AWD and the 4k towing packaging? 95%...
Maybe I am still reading that sheet wrong but I don't think it is stating that those are constraints. It is saying that is what Ford plans to build and that is what parts they are ordering. If the orders they actually receive differ from that plan then they have a problem and parts become a...
Maybe one of the people who work at a dealer could verify. All I can say is I have read several places that profit on a Maverick is very low. I read $200 one place. True? No idea.
As I understand it there are different ways dealers make money on a sale.
- profit on the actual sale
- money...
Do you have a link to those constraints? The only list I saw appeared to be what Ford expected orders to be based on last year, not actual restraints. Maybe I read it wrong. Now I can't find it anymore.
I think most people are happy to get it at sticker. "Screaming Deals?" LOL, not going to happen.
Take sticker and feel lucky. Lots of dealers trying to mark them up $2 to 5k OVER sticker.
When I talked to my dealer this morning, he insisted that he had tried to enter orders all day yesterday and the system would not let him. System was available but 2023 Maverick was not a choice. He said he had tried off and on all day, until he went home. He really seemed sincere and knew...
Just got back from my dealer, I was sitting in the parking lot 10 minutes before they opened. Bellingham Ford Lincoln in Bellingham, WA. Salesman was not in, but the sales manager said he could help. I asked why my order had not been placed yesterday and he said the order banks for '23s never...
You said you checked with your dealer. That is most definitely NOT Ford. If you have not checked with Ford direct to verify that your dealer placed your order properly you should. It is possible your dealer failed to COVP your order in which case you don't have an order.
Best thing is to...
All dealers get the same information. But who gets it at the dealership and what they do with it varies. Do they even check their email? Who knows. Does it go to the email address of the manager that left 4 years ago? Who knows. Does the dealership live in their own little world that...
I keep seeing that rumor, especially on Facebook but I have not seen anywhere that it is anything but made up. Any source with any reliability has always said mid-September or September 15th for all orders.
The dealer allocation system was put in place for a reason. In today's market it might not make (as much) sense as it did in a normal one but there was a reason.
Keep in mind allocations work both ways. They ensure that smaller dealers do get some vehicles. otherwise the big guys would...
