That is my understanding. I'm not sure how that will work but from what I've read those folks (or their dealer) need to place a MY23 order and then their order date will be adjusted to match their MY22 date. How exactly that will work I have no idea.
Production of any individual vehicle is...
You all do note that this thread is from December of 2021 and no posts since? Well except for the revival today. So maybe the OP already received his truck and never updated.
So fixed with software change?
Just get concerned when I see someone post something like "all the issues the Maverick is having". My impression was that it was relatively problem free considering it's a first year vehicle but always looking for information.
Did a search for red hot catalytic converter and came up with nothing except a click bait Youtube video. Maybe I'm searching on the wrong terms.
Not aware of any issues with regen braking what was that?
No DOA hybrid batteries ever reported that I am aware of. Maybe you are thinking of the...
Talked to my dealer on 8/2. He told me he has my "order" ready to input whenever the order bank opens. He again warned me that delivery date was unknown and could be 9 months to a year. I don't know how much more honest you can get and I appreciated his trying to keep things realistic.
Hard to say since I doubt anyone has ever done it on a Maverick.
I did a search for replacement labor costs on Prius and got numbers between $250 and $900 for labor. But I also see total costs between $1,000 and $4,100. Depends on Prius model and year. And some of those numbers included the...
As noted above the HV battery is warranted for 8 years / 100k miles.
My Prius had 110,000 on it when I sold it and the battery tested 90% of new.
Unless there is an actual failure, which would be covered under warranty these batteries don't just die at a certain point but they do start to lose...
So they stopped orders in November when their predictions showed that was all they could get built. After only taking orders for what, 5 months? To me that is a reasonable business decision based on the information available at the time. Points to Ford for stopping then rather than continue...
I am in a similar situation. No interest in the ECO, hybrid only. Would 'like' AWD but to be honest FWD is most likely all I will ever need. I do have one other constraint and that is it must be flat towable which the hybrid is. The Escape hybrid FWD and AWD are both towable so I assume the...
But the HV battery in a Maverick is 1.1kWh and in the Lightning it is 98kWh. So if my math is right they could build 89 Mavericks with same battery components in 1 Lightning. Or 61 Mach-E's. I would definitely think the margin on the Lightning is higher. But I don't think its 89 times...
Yeah, that would work.
Shut down the line, lay off the whole workforce and wait until constrained parts come in. Then bring everybody back for maybe 2 days a week to use up the parts and then lay them off again. Rinse / repeat.
And yeah that was a sarcastic comment, which I try to avoid but I...
If the electrical is the same wiring harness issue the hybrids have had (or related) then you should be fine after they get it resolved. Better at the dealer than dead on the road as others have been.
BUT, you would think new hybrids coming off the line now should no longer have the wiring...
Maybe. But I think Ford was just trying to eliminate the cross-over issue where folks with a MY22 order were being asked to place an order for MY23 but could still get scheduled for MY22. That looked like a potential disaster in the making.
More concerning is people with scheduled weeks...
Quite common actually. Lots of posts with the same exact issue.
My guess is that some parts they expected to be in stock didn't make it and they are scrambling to re-shuffle things. Just a guess of course.
Well I got a pleasant surprise this morning. I had an appointment scheduled for 8:30 but knowing it was a waste of time I didn't go. I called the dealership instead and my salesman picked up on the first ring and said, "Hi John, sorry but I have some bad news, I was just dialing to call you."...
Ford does not require a deposit but dealers may. The amount will vary a lot. My dealer originally asked for $1,000 I said no and he said $500. I was OK with that because it gives me some legal standing if things go wrong. Would not have that unless money exchanged hands.
If you place an...
I was hoping the cubby would go away and be replaced with a larger screen.
I'm OK with brown or black but that orange stitching is a hard no. Orange anything for that matter.
