Mavster Mechanic and I are on the same page, there is something fishy. This sounds like foul play to me. But maybe I have watched too many episodes of "Accident, Suicide, or Murder?" on Peacock. Great series BTW. Check to see what kind of Life Insurance the victim has. Is wife in line to get a...
No. I can see they would be handy on a farm or ranch being used like an ATV or SXS. With only 650cc engines they are not practical for street. But if you want to make people happy and laugh when they see you go for it. About as good of an idea as a 50-year mortgage from the same genius. ✌
That is an old school whip they would use on kids that misbehaved at school. Now they just prescribe prescription medication. Consequences be damned. I have no idea how it ended up in your Maverick.✌
Batteries with a 36 month warranty compared to 48 or 60 month warranty are identical batteries. Only the warranty and price and decal are different. I never pay for an extra 2 year warranty. Spend the money you save on a Pulsetech PowerPulse Battery Maintenance System at Amazon for $40. My 2...
According to Car and Driver mag the 2026 Nissan Leaf base model will be priced near 26K. 52 kwh battery. So 30K for Fords new "Ranchero" should be doable. We shall see. ✌
Since it has only a 51 KWH battery leads me to believe that it will be an Extended Range EV. So it will have an onboard generator to charge the battery on the go for long distances. Like the Chevy Volt had. If that is the case, I will be very interested. If not, I am only slightly more than zero...
I have just one question and one suggestion. Have you taken it out on a superspeedway to test the rear aero downforce? It appears you may get some rear lift at high speeds. I suggest you sell some advertising back there, no one will miss it. ✌🙂
I sort of have the same thought. I spend less time hooking up the charger than the 3 times more time in the Costco gas line in my Ranger that the maverick replaced. ✌
Things have just become too damn complicated. Power everything. Why do we need, or who even requested a power parking brake. I never thought "it would be nice to not have to pull this stupid lever to engage the parking brake". Tire pressure monitoring sensors? Really? Isn't that the owners job...
The small regular 12-volt battery is the one. Pop your hood and look for a small red plastic cover with a + sign on it. It is located in the center driver side area. Pop the cover off. Hook your + battery charger clamp to that lug. In the rear corner driver side area under the hood, you will see...
Prices on electronics make no sense these days. So, I can buy a 65-inch smart tv for $500 but headlights and smart phones are $1000 and up? And then people scream when a dozen eggs hit $5 while they are holding their $5 Starbucks and showing off their $1000 tattoo. Progress. ✌
You probably drove right past the Medford, Oregon Costco, just off i5.. I filled up there today, $3.37. Probably could have made it to Elk Grove, California and back on a tank. But 🖕Gavin Newsom thanks you.:giggle: ✌
First step I took was to shop at different dealers. In my case there are 3 dealers within 25 miles of me. Of Those 3, I made a personal visit. At that time 14 months ago those 3 all wanted 3000 over sticker. They all gave the same BS story about "that is the market value in our area". I did not...
The Pulsetech PowerPulse is NOT a charger. It prevents sulfation buildup. If your battery is in a constant state of low voltage sulfation will ruin it. Any lead acid battery. Regardless of quality. Including AGM's. ✌
This is what I did, and it is definitely better now than it was. Charge the battery 100% with a battery tender charger. If you don't have one buy one. I use mine on a regular basis before I had the Maverick. After 100% charging reset the BMS AND lock the Maverick overnight for at least 8 hours...
I had a similar experience with my 2000 E 150 Econoline and my 2015 T 150 Transit. Problem solved with a new fuel pump on both. A recall issue on the Transit. Old fuel pump that just slowly died on the Econoline.✌
