Like many others here I too have a battery drain/undercharge problem. Battery is A OK. I am not going to spend hours at a dealership multiple times for a problem that Ford still has no solution for. It takes me a few minutes to hook up my battery tender overnight once a week. I am not going a...
The 12-volt hybrid battery does not start the engine. The high voltage battery uses one of the electric motors to start it. Which also means it does not even have a conventional "starter". ✌
I am paying $0.1648 per kwh here is SW Oregon. Recent bill was $397. Including $10 extra to come to my house and read the old school meter once a month. Nowhere near "almost free". The garbage man comes to my house EVERY WEEK and hauls my garbage away for only $28/month. That's almost free! ✌
I have heard many times from people about my Maverick: "it's so small". Never: "it's so midsize". Marketing will use whatever description they think will work best to sell the vehicle. If it is midsize than the ranger is large and the F150 is extra large. ✌
You can ruin a perfectly good battery by draining it too low on a regular basis. A top quality FLA battery will sulfate and short out the plates if it is in a constant state of low charge. So a dead battery is not proof that it is a cheap battery. There is something more going on with this issue...
I agree also that OP has a battery issue base on what he said is happening. I have seen batteries go bad with an internal short. They go dead all of a sudden and will not take a charge and will cause the battery charger to over heat.
As far as the quality bashing here thats been going on since...
I am not agreeing the battery quality is the issue. What makes them shit quality? My Transit is almost 11 years old with 120,000 miles and still has the original 2 AGM batteries and I have never put a charger on them. My 007 Mustang original FLA battery lasted 13 years! I did put a battery...
A problem here too. Every place is different, but I just figured rodents are everywhere. Rats are the worst. They do their dirty work at night which makes it a tougher problem to deal with. I have trapped 100's of em over the last 20 years. No bait. Find where their trails are that they use over...
Like many have already said "some people like 'em some don't". My wife and I both think the seats in our Lariat are comfy. But she has a problem with every mattress (4) that we have purchased. I have like each one! So go figure? Life is mysterious sometimes. ✌
Have you checked into aftermarket seats? I never have so seriously I am wondering if that is not an option, because so many people are complaining about the comfort of the seats. Yet I don't see anyone talking about upgrading with new seats. Seems like there would be a market for that.✌
I guess there is always some "research" headed by someone that wants to come up with a different answer to the question. The US Census Bureau defines baby boomers as those born AFTER World War II, which ended in Sept. 1945. So mid 1946-mid 1964. This is the first time I have ever seen a chart...
You are correct about this being an issue I am just learning about. However, I do know a lot about bad rod bearings. Having previously worked in a high performance engine shop building engines for circle track racing I have seen many rod bearings go bad for numerous reasons. Rods and crankshafts...
Did they actually tear the engine down and looked at the bad rod bearing with their own eyes? I am skeptical about this diagnosis. Should have been knocking like crazy if the rod bearing goes bad. Reminds me of the time 25 years ago when I bought an old Toyota MR2 from a private seller. He told...
