I worked at an auto repair shop way back in the 80-90's and I was told a story that this thread reminds me of.
A customer had his Chevy truck tuned up and wasn't happy with the way it ran when the job was done and decided the best course of action was to pull up to the front of the shop and...
I agree.
Maybe the OP found out that the tech put in the correct full syn oil but someone else billed the wrong oil out on the work order. That's what happen to me at my last oil change.

If the OP is still worried about this he can have the service advisor show him the tech's worksheet showing the correct oil.
. In my case I read it with my own eyes and the service label the tech made backed it up.
At my last oil change I noticed the RO said they put 5w-20 oil instead of 5w-30 in my Ecoboost. I checked with the service advisor and he billed the wrong oil.
The tech's hand written notes showed the correct oil as did the service label he printed and put on the windshield.
I understand what I'm being told. Get on it, high revs, high speeds for a good distance.
One thing for sure is I don't have to do any of those regen actions in my 2023 FX4. Plain and simple.
I live in Sacramento. Zero hills anywhere near me. No where for me to safely hit 70 mph unless I go out of my way to get on a freeway and waste gas.
My brother works at a Ford dealer so I will be able to ask him and my former coworkers about the GPF's when they become available.
Thanks. I mainly do shorts drives in my 2023 FX4 so I'm glad I don't have a GPF. With the high price of gas here in California I'm also glad I don't have to do extra driving to nowhere to do regens.
Do you know if GPF's have EGT sensors like DPF's? Those things have a high failure rate.
So the 2025 Maverick production is ending and the 2026 Maverick is about to start production? I thought that was going to happen in the fall.
I was under the impression the GPF was for 2025 model year Job 3. I'm totally confused.
That's what Ford is doing but why make customers pay for a GPF that doesn't have to be installed?
Seems like there is a supply issue from the start. Will that carry over on to the 2026 model year? I can see them failing, them being on back order and owners unable to use their Mavericks...
Sounds like if you don't drive at highway speeds often you may have problems.
My experience with diesel DPF's when I worked in a parts department at a Ford Fleet Center was that they did fail, they were very expensive and they were often on extended back order leaving the customer unable to...
