Thank you and well said. I started working at a general repair shop in 1978 when I was still in High School so I can verify what you posted as being true.
My experience is not only with Ford. I also worked 18 years at a privately owned general repair shop and 14 years at wholesale auto parts warehouses that supplied dealers and independent shops.
I've never heard of this widespread problem of dealers refusing to do warranty repair. Just my opinion.
I bet that Steve Speers will make sure he quotes a much higher price when asked to install an unusual aftermarket product on someones vehicle. I wonder what his boss thought about this failure? LOL.
I don't see it quite the same way that you do. Probably because of the years that I worked at a Ford dealership.
But you're using your own personal experience as a basis for your point of view so I'll respect it.
Well said. Have you watched YouTuber FordBossMe? He explains the reason why there's a tech shortage very well. Warranty work is part of it. Who's to blame is interesting.
I worked in the parts department and we had to save and keep track of all of the old warranty parts the techs turned in. The base numbers would be written down and the parts guy would sign off that we received them.
If Ford called back even one the parts replaced under warranty, including a...
Why would they care about that? I doubt the service department even checks to see where a vehicle is purchased before doing repairs.
Let's say that's true. Does refusing to work on a persons car make them more or less likely to purchase a new vehicle from them in the future? The answer is no...
The Ford dealer I worked at was put under audit. That means Ford keeps a very close eye on all warranty repairs. It doesn't mean Ford doesn't allow the dealer to perform any more warranty work.
I don't see how a dealer could stay open for very long if they didn't do warranty repairs. It would...
Did some research and I don't see anything that says 87 octane caused more unburned fuel to occur. And modern engines like the ones found in the Maverick are designed to handle both 87 and 91 octane gas.

What is your source for 87 octane causing more unburned fuel being exhausted? Wouldn't this unburned fuel damage a vehicles catalytic converter?
My 2023 EcoBoost doesn't have a GPF so is my cat in danger of being damaged by me using 87 octane?
Ford provides a 2 year warranty. It's called Service Parts Warranty. It covers parts that a customer paid for. The OP had his axles replaced under warranty so he did not pay for them. If he pays to have the axles replaced again they will come with the SPW.
The Service Parts Warranty (SPW)...
It could be a problem that the dealer has an older not updated catalog issue and not an experience problem. Are they using Snap On or ECAT? Did they try using HVBOM?
OP should try another dealer.
Is this the case you bought? looks like it.

I have several power stations of different sizes that power all of my off grid needs. There's no reason to abuse a vehicles battery to power a 12 volt DC cooler or other DC devices.
Non ethanol gas isn't available here in NorCal. That's probably why I was unfamiliar with that term.
Ten years ago on a trip to Texas I bought some non-ethanol gas in Arizona while driving a 2001 Taurus. The cost per gallon was way cheaper than just across the border in California and my MPG...
Folsom Lake Ford is where I bought my Maverick and they also took my personal check.
At first they wanted me to take out a loan and then pay it off on the first month but I didn't want to hassle with it. So without any argument they took my check and I was done.
Years ago when I worked at an independent auto repair shop we had a high school student come to work for us. On his first day the boss had him do an oil change.
He started the engine after doing the oil change and oil poured out onto the floor. I asked to see the old filter. He grabbed it and I...
