Did the same when I rotated tires last month, forgot one at the rear as I lowered the floor jack.
It was snug behind the plastic trim so didn't fall off on a short drive.
Have to access it from both sides. So LH & RH console trim to remove
The TCU has mounting bolts on LH & RH.
I ended up leaving my TCU in place w its fuse disconnected since Feb 2024.

My soft tonneau has a lever to open it after opening the truck's tailgate.

I used the Steelman 96095 Standard Square Head Tire Tool for Early Model Ford + cordless drill to lower my spare when rotating tires today. Made lowering & raising the spare easier than the Ford jack tool.
Escape's front doors feel heavier compared to my Maverick.

I do have the older type pad like your photo that doesn’t have electronics in it. Watts isn’t the problem since a 300W pure sine wave I have can power two of my larger pads.
I've been using smaller Sunbeam pad in the front seat for my legs.
Was going to use a longer heating pad for my back last week but it wouldn't run off the inverter.
