Heh, realised I kinda sounded like I never wanted a truck... well I did... but the trucks I wanted went extinct. What trucks I wanted were Ford Courier, Datsun Li'l Hustler/Nissan hardbody, 1G Ranger, 1G Dakota, 1G/2G Taco, all with 4 cyls. I didn't want a project truck though and certain well...
BTW, for other FWD drive vehicles in the past, Dorman used to do a "high mileage" replacement CV, making it half an inch or so longer to account for mileage wear on suspension etc.... Now if they bring one of those out for Mav, it might be more favorable for lifts... Thing was though, ppl only...
Cali sounds expensive, I'm picking my Lariat Hybrid AWD, 4k towing, trifold cover, plus 8 years premium care, 5 years maintenance, up on Monday, and it's coming in at $43k USD after taxes etc, though we've got Employee Pricing on at the moment. Prior to tax and plans it was $35k USD.
Anyhoo...
The FWD Turbo Dodge crowd used to think Napa axles were pretty good. They weren't up to extremely built motors in the 400+ whp range, but were pretty stout below that. ... However, we don't know that they are made by the same people.
BTW this is when stock axles weren't lasting long at 250...
I was unsure whether I wanted to buy new, used or what, and I was all over the place.
My requirements were loosely "mileage like an econobox", "roomy like a wagon while not being a huge tank.", "Has some towing capability"
So I was drawn to what caught my eye as good a decade back, C-Max...
Most vehicles these days are equipped to deal with the visual overload of all the lights and displays and warn you about important things with an olfactory warning unit.
In the case of oil desperately in need of changing this is a diffuser operated by engine heat which releases wafts of...
After reminding myself the other week that the major component of fresh cab is balsam fir, I spotted this in the bargain bin when I was at the pharmacy... so I am going to give it a whirl... not that I have a problem yet, so it might work just as good as the elephant repellant brick I keep on my...
I suffer from being in a Venn diagram cross of a big city, dense traffic, high theft zone and a tourists can't drive for crap because they're too busy gawking zone. So not very cheap in general here.
Only thing that bugs me about it, is that it could be 2" further to the right... more out of the way of hitch accessories.... but guess there's some other countries with longer plates where it sells, so centering it there lets those fit.
Dug this up because I just got hit with the big oof.
Arranging ins on the new Lariat... Monday is looking definite for pickup... I gotta pore over the paperwork when it comes in. Got an agent in a real noisy office, don't know if I added stuff I didn't mean to. Anyway, fully comp on half the...
Automatics you kind of have to give a sharp jab at the pedal to make it kick down rather than slowwwwly easing into it, or it will stay in gear. Once you get used to a transmission, you can be making it do what you want with "foot gestures"... which in days of yore, miiight have caused your...
Yeah. Stylistically, they'd seem like you need to start them at the rocker trim, then flatten the arch in line with the lower door crease line. Only basically the top of the tire gets covered then, kinda like a lot of the skirted cars before they get the skirt on. However, it would close off...
Get the intake and injector cleaning services done on that Honda, they are not as bulletproof as their legend... even if assembly was powered by Timmies.
