It's been documented quite a few times here that the supplied OEM half shafts are not a good match for the Maverick platform, I would totally be into purchasing upgraded units if they ever become available -
Dealer says the Turbo/By-Pass BOV- Is faulty and is being replaced- Yay more boost- Interesting I wonder how long it's not been holding enough pressure ?
Just got a video multi-point inspection done at the dealer- R/Front shaft boot is toast- This must be pretty new as I did not notice anything 3 weeks ago- Rig has 19k Miles - Fun times, looks like they are replacing it under warranty. 1.5 Inch Lift/FX4 -
**UPDATE** My Powertrain malfunction/Reduced power/Fault has returned with a vengeance after almost a year of being dormant- Now its also brought along a buddy- Low/Turbo/Boost fault - At the dealer and still no word on a remedy-
Anyone got the TSB # and or more info on this "software update*...
That has been done. What's odd is that my original reduced power drivetrain error came back 1st yesterday and then morphed into a low boost warning after turning the vehicle off and on - Living my life 1 Check engine light at a time -)
Hear that. We r now towing a camp trailer and occasionally bring a generator and like the peace of mind of having a unit that can deal with a gasoline or electrical fire if needed.
Having a Fire Extinguisher on/demand seems like a good thing but was curious if folks are leaving these in-rigs during the summer ? Bottle warning says not to exceed 120.
Thoughts ?
