This is great. Was planning on a hitch bike rack, but this has me thinking it would be even better (and probably easier to store). We don't take the bikes out too often, but this seems like a simple way to load and go.
I just tried the chat option and got the same exact answer that you did. It does not surprise me at all given my configuration (hybrid, Lux, 360). I'm just glad that it seems my dealer has done the order verification correctly and that I'm at least showing in the system.
I ordered from 5 Star Ford Dallas (in Richardson). The dealer rep I've been speaking to did not answer my question on allotment.
He said he think the Hybrids are "on hold". I'm a little scared that the "on hold" info means they didn't do the order verification process correctly, but I also...
Any clue on how many units to expect? I mean the big dealers like Chapman and LM all seem to have had their allocations filled last week. Would this be smaller dealerships, different regions, or more akin to a "clean-up" week even though its not designated as such?
Opened at about noon today. I'll be going, but I'll put more of a priority on getting there if I hear they have one you can actually sit in, and even more of a priority of you can adjust the seat. If it's just up on a pedestal and you can't play with it - I'll wait for cooler weather.
I'm hoping we get a burst of Hybrids scheduled as soon as the OKTB gets issued for the Hybrid. It makes sense for Ford to build vehicles that can be sold over ones that can't yet. I just wish I had a build date, even if it is way out in the future (unrealistic, I know, but I wish).
That's kind of where I am. I've always had the first or second looker buy my used cars. I keep them well-maintained and always detail them before I sell. My Flex will easily run for another 100k with proper maintenance. I tend to price them at the mid level and am willing to negotiate a bit...
I recently started to research what my current vehicle is worth (2010 Ford Flex, 133k miles). I looked at Edmunds and KBB. Both say my car is worth between 3-4k. At that price, I'd probably take the dealer offer/save on the sales tax. But, then I look up the classifieds in my area - and the...
I had a 6 speed manual VW Tiguan years ago. It also had one of the first push button e-brakes. I had issues with valet parking because they did not seem to understand the e-brake. I was always convinced that even if they didn't grind the gears, they would not set the e-brake and my car would...
I said yes, because I love the drive feel of a manual transmission. BUT, one of the main appeals of this truck was, for me, the hybrid engine, and hybrids would never be offered with a manual transmission. So, my answer is really "maybe".
Ugh, no way I can make it to Denton on my lunch break. I really hope the state fair has one and it's actually available to sit in. I'll be so disappointed if it's all locked up on a pedestal like some of the other posts have shown recently.
So.... I decided to see if I could predict my build scheduling. Today I emailed my dealer rep:
1) How many Mavericks does your dealership have on order?
2) Does Ford count all of your locations as 1 dealer, or each location on its own?
3) How many Maverick build allocations did you get for...
While height adjustments are helpful, they don't solve most of my original questions. My Ford Flex has a 6 or 8 way adjustable seat including seat height and I have fit problems with it. There's a fine line between the seat being high enough for good visibility out the windshield and low...
Hope so. I've had my Ford Flex for 11 years and had to resort to putting a board under the drivers floor mat, and feel like the airbag is 6" from me. Sure would like a better fit, but its hard to accommodate all shapes and sizes of drivers.
I think there are at least 50 posts with pictures of a guy over 6' tall sitting in the Maverick. Headroom, legroom, rear seat room behind a tall guy, everything!
How about the short ones in the group? Can someone take some pictures of a short person (5'3" or less) in the drivers seat? I want...
Glad to finally have a date. It feels like its way late, but they will be available long before most people get their hands on a retail truck, so its reasonable. Now I just want to know when IIHS will release their crash test ratings. The drive feel and crash worthiness are the 2 last factors...
Remember, a reservation is not an order and they are, from what I can glean, not at anywhere near 100k orders. They are not building based on reservations, only orders - reservations are just a marketing concept (both in that you have to give the dealer your email to make a reservation, and...
