Replaced the rear speakers with Morel Maximo 4" coax. Removing all the trim back there was a challenge the first time even with watching video instructions and installing both took me another 4 hours.
The 72-5600 adapter does work for this. You might need to bend the pins with a screwdriver...
I tried it out and got it to work, wasn't super easy but I'm mostly happy with the result 😎

Ugh, just broke a tab pulling up the center speaker grill 😭 but 4 hours later, I got the Dayton Audio ND91-8 set up at least.. The 72-5600 adapter does work for this if you take off the fins and reverse the positive and negative sides. I wrapped the black wire with red tape to indicate positive...
Nice, I always wanted to do this but not in Texas. I heard this improves aerodynamics. The horns pierce the air and guide it around the flat front of the truck.
There must be dozens of us Prius converts right?
It's been a little adjustment seeing that lower MPG, but the pros outweigh the cons for me at the moment. The extended warranty makes me feel a bit better on long term reliability concerns and all the prior recalls should be addressed before you...
@22Lariat deserves all the credit for researching and finding an almost perfect match. I'm happy to be a witness that it works decently though :) If you don't agree, it's a non-destructive process and easy to pop the original back end and return the rest. I wish I had grabbed and used one of...
I wouldn't say huge, but it is noticeable to me and was worthwhile for the low price and effort compared to bringing in another amp etc. Particularly on tracks with lower bass tones, it's hitting those lows more authoritatively than the 6x9 was and now feels more well rounded with the rest of...
Thanks! If the cab spoiler didn't point upwards so much (and maybe came body colored) I might have considered that as well but I feel like it might be detrimental for my MPGs?
Also doing the same for the odometer, planning to leave trip 2 on until at least my first oil change. Maybe should...
That's interesting it's filtered on both ends.. I thought I had seen a thread with a possible way to modify this via forscan... Luckily the Dayton's frequency response is 36 to 1,100Hz, so based on what you're saying it wouldn't matter if following the OP's method.
Total coincidence. I was writing up some other silly story and changed it up to something short and sweet :) I'm kind of interested in the buttercup ones except for the eyeballs maybe
Thank you!
Thank you also. I had ordered this part number based on maybe one of your posts and I think I'd need to cut this myself. How hard is this to get right? :)
Those look nice, I'll admit that I've been carrying around a cheap Tac-force I found at a flea market for a while 😂 Maybe my wife will find this thread and get me an upgrade.
The JBL differences could be in the passenger car versus crew cab setup? I found the system in the Prius to be much...
Utility, fuel economy and cost efficiency.
These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect vehicle.
But Professor Engineering accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction... Chemical F. Thus, TruckPrius was born!
Ok, now that that's out of my system, I just wanted to...
This is part of why I am looking for specs/manuals etc on what the B&O-ish amp does. When you say "bi amps" you mean it has a discrete line to both the tweeter and the woofer that are already frequency filtered and an additional crossover would be pointless right?
I saw this diagram so I...
